New App, Parqueo, Launches in Seattle to Solve City’s Parking Problem

Parqueo, a mobile app that lets Seattle locals rent out their privately-owned parking spaces launches on the iTunes and Google Play. The app serves as a platform for parking space owners to market their unused spaces to potential renters, making the process of finding parking easy. Read related news now.

Owners set times and prices for their available parking spaces so potential renters may find and reserve their parking space ahead of time.

"Finding parking is such a struggle in Seattle," says Seattle-based founder and CEO. "Locals and visitors fight for limited street-side parking, but there is always privately-owned parking available, so there is not a lack of parking spots, rather, there is a lack of resources available for parking space owners."

Parqueo has two user platforms, one for parking space owners and one for parking spot seekers. Parking space owners create a profile and list the location, time, and price of their parking space. Parking spot seekers create a profile and find places to park via the app's GPS map functionality.

"By creating Parqueo, space owners can now market to and communicate with these potential renters," said the app founder. "We put emphasis on making sure that renters and owners are paired up and satisfied."

About: A Seattle resident is the founder of Parqueo, the revolutionary parking app that makes renting privately-owned, off-street parking easier for renters and owners alike. Since 1997, the CEO and founder has worked in the internet technology space, including software development, systems IT, and business development. He was inspired to create Parqueo by his own struggles with parking in his hometown of Seattle. Seeing locals and visitors struggling to find limited street-side parking in neighborhoods when 35% of available off-street parking spaces go unused made him realize the need for parking and the lack of resources available to space owners for renting their spaces.
