X-ray analytical instrument manufacturer Rigaku Corporation is pleased to announce its attendance at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) 2019 Annual Convention & Exhibition (ACE), taking place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas 19-22 May 2019. The event is hosted by the AAPG and its divisions, along with the Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM), the Austin Geological Society and the South Texas Geological Society.
Founded over a century ago, AAPG remains at the forefront of the petroleum geoscience. ACE 2019 - the Association's flagship event - features a juried technical program, state-of-the-art technology displays and networking activities and is expected to attract a global a global audience of 7,500 professionals from more than 72 countries.
X-ray analytical techniques are established methods for geological research and elemental analysis of petroleum and petrochemicals. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is employed to characterize the elemental composition of geological materials, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) is used to quantitatively measure phase composition. Rigaku provides a variety of unique solutions for these determinations and is presenting their latest X-ray analytical technology at booth 1224. Click here to read the latest news.
Featured at the event is the sixth generation Rigaku MiniFlex benchtop X-ray diffraction instrument, a multipurpose analytical instrument that can perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of polycrystalline materials. The latest MiniFlex™ X-ray diffractometer is the newest addition to MiniFlex series of benchtop X-ray diffraction analyzers from Rigaku, which began with the introduction of the original MiniFlex system in 1973.
