New Kid-Friendly Anti-Street-Racing Strategy Welcomes Community Involvement

MotorGospel Ministries is pleased to announce the latest milestone in their life-saving anti-street-racing campaign.

Beginning in December, MotorGospel Ministries will sponsor a monthly anti-street-racing outreach event at MB2 Raceway in Sylmar. In cooperation with LA City Council President Pro Tempore Mitchell Englander, the LAPD Central Traffic Division and the LAPD Valley Traffic Division, MotorGospel Ministries will hold the monthly Beat The Heat event to allow civilians the opportunity to race against off-duty LAPD officers.

In the words of MotorGospel Ministries founder Pastor Aaron Schwartzbart, "The anti-street-racing event at MB2 builds on the success of the monthly Beat The Heat program we operate at Irwindale Dragstrip with several key changes." Unlike the drag racing program, the MB2 event will allow children as young as 12 years old to compete. Additionally, MB2 has graciously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from the applicable ticket sales to MotorGospel Ministries' anti-street-racing campaign.

The latter is an answer to the many community members that have asked what they can do about illegal street racing. Simply by showing up and racing at MB2 for the monthly Beat The Heat event, community members are helping financially to support MotorGospel Ministries' anti-street-racing campaign. No experience is required and there is a high probability that you and your family will have some fun while helping save lives.
