AppSheet Named a Leader Among Mobile Low-Code Platforms for Business Developers by Independent Research Firm

Today, leading global research and advisory firm, Forrester Research, has named AppSheet as a leader in Mobile Low-Code Development Platforms for Business Developers. The company received the highest scores possible in thirteen specific criteria, including business model/service vision, product revenue growth rate, enterprise installation growth, mobile offline, platform administration, and AI and NLP.

AppSheet was among a group of select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its report, The Forrester Wave™: Mobile Low-Code Platforms for Business Developers, Q3 2018. Forrester identified the twelve most significant low- code platform vendors and evaluated them against 30 criteria, which were grouped into three high-level buckets: current offering, strategy, and market presence. AppSheet achieved the highest score in the strategy category.

In AppSheet's vendor profile, Forrester's report stated:

"We're thrilled to be cited as a leader in the Forrester Wave for mobile low-code development platforms for business developers. We think this validates our belief that no-code platforms are ideally suited for citizen developers that are building apps to run all aspects of their business," said Praveen Seshadri, CEO of AppSheet. "Our intelligent, intent-driven platform makes app development so easy that anyone can build powerful, feature-rich apps."

In May, AppSheet introduced Spec, the first-of-its-kind feature that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to provide a fast way for anyone, technical or non-technical, to create apps using simple English phrases. To learn more about Spec, go here.
