Happy 1.0 to Join the Front Line in US Doctors’ Offices

The Foundation for Future Reality has found a new use for Amazon's Alexa-enabled Lynx robot. Although the robot will keep its original job of communicating with and entertaining office visitors, it has picked up a few new duties as well. And with several modifications, the 'School of Robots,' an initiative of The Foundation for Future Reality, has ensured that the Lynx can play a bigger role in office visits. Happy 1.0, as the new and improved robot is called, is now able to ask important screening questions for Medicare preventive visits & yearly wellness exams and can also send the answers to a patient's file. The robot uses face-recognition technology, artificial intelligence, and the ePlatform ScreeningX.com, a HIPAA Compliance tool to administer the questions.

Happy 1.0 recently spent a full day at TeleHealth Medical Group office in Orange, California, where it proved its efficiency. "This is another needed step in the direction towards using robots to enhance office visits for patients and doctors. We live in a time of AI-based robots with expanding capabilities and The Foundation for Future Reality is trying to utilize them in the most efficient ways possible. Now is the time to push boundaries and find out what these robots can really do," says Iman Shirali, a board member of the Foundation for Future Reality and the team leader of "School of Robots".
