Children of America Celebrates Teachers, as their Core Strength

This week is national Teacher Appreciation Week and Children of America, Educational Childcare (COA), has pulled out all the stops. "This internationally recognized day commemorates teachers around the globe and their commitment to children and learning. Every year, COA celebrates this devotion with a week of activities and gifts to honor our teachers. We know the impact they make on our children and understand the vital role they play in our business model," says Jim Perretty, COA CEO.

Studies show that having a strong teacher, even for one school year, can lead to lasting academic and social performance gains. Researchers have demonstrated that, for children, having a nurturing teacher can serve as a protective factor that mitigates the effect on learning and peer relationships.

"COA teachers are the foundation of everything we do," said Jane Buckman, President of Educational Programming. "Our teachers take our proprietary programming and bring it to life in our classrooms, engaging and energizing our children, delivering an interactive learning environment. Mrs. Buckman goes on to say, "Our parents see the impact our teachers and programming make every day and as a result partner with us raising the bar in academic readiness. I could not be more proud of our teachers."

In addition to the celebrations happening at each location, COA pays tribute to teachers throughout the year with monthly and yearly recognition initiatives. Jim Perretty adds, "It is the goal of the company to keep our school staff front and center every month. To reinforce this philosophy, we have created several programs to strengthen educational leadership, and increase collaboration with acknowledgment awards." ; Winners receive a cash awards and join the Hall of Fame board.
