Childhelp Commemorates Longtime Champion Betty White on 97th Birthday

Happy birthday to Betty White! She may look small, but she's a giant Childhelp champion and isn't letting up in her 97th year - helping us mark our 60th Anniversary year. More info here.

"As we all celebrate Betty's 97th birthday, it is also a great day to celebrate the decades Betty has been busy giving back," notes Childhelp co-founder and CEO Sara O'Meara. "Childhelp has been so blessed to have her as a friend and advocate."

Childhelp began in 1959 when co-founders Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson were young Hollywood actresses sent to Japan to entertain US troops during the Korean War. But the young women found themselves on the flooded streets of Tokyo during a typhoon, rescuing orphans stranded by the storm. When California First Lady Nancy Reagan asked them to focus on child abuse in the United States, the two founders began a journey that has spanned six decades, with more than 10 million children served. Yvonne's late husband Don Fedderson was a local television station manager when he recognized White's star appeal as a young actress on the show HOLLYWOOD ON TELEVISION. White, Fedderson and writer George Tibbles formed the company Bandy Productions, creating LIFE WITH ELIZABETH with Betty as the show's title character. After Don's passing, Yvonne continues to manage the rights of THE BETTY WHITE SHOW and other hits created by what became Don Fedderson Productions.

Playtika Acquires Casual Card Game Developer Supertreat

Leading mobile games company, Playtika, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Austria-based developer Supertreat GmbH. The announcement comes just a few weeks after the company acquired German puzzle and hidden object specialist, Wooga GmbH, and a little more than a year after it acquired Jelly Button Games Limited, both significant steps in the company's strategy to further expand into casual games. As part of the acquisition, Playtika will add the successful "Solitaire Grand Harvest" app to its growing portfolio of casual game titles.

"Solitaire is one of the most evergreen single-player games and a very competitive category, but Supertreat cracked it and succeeded in creating one of the highest grossing solitaire games within just a year of its launch," said Nir Korczak, Chief Marketing Officer at Playtika. Korczak also noted the company's impressive long-term retention metrics. "We are confident that by leveraging our live-ops, game economy, and performance marketing expertise we will make Solitaire Grand Harvest the number one solitaire game in the market."

"The success of Solitaire Grand Harvest gave us the opportunity and flexibility to select our ideal partner to grow the game even further and we are thrilled to have chosen Playtika," said Christian Baumgartner, Co-founder and CEO at Supertreat. The iPad Slim Folio is compatible with all 9.7" iPads on the market, including Air 1, Air 2, Pro 9.7, iPad 2017, and iPad 2018.
