Asset Drone President & CEO Jason Worley To Speak At InterDrone 2018

Organizers of the largest commercial drone event in North America invited Asset Drone president, CEO and co-founder Jason Worley to speak at its annual event, InterDrone 2018, in Las Vegas from September 5-7, 2018. Worley's presentation, "Using GCP with RTKpost and Pix4D to Create Accurate Topography Maps," is Friday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time.

Worley is a technology innovator with more than 25 years in the industry. Prior to founding Asset Drone with his partners, he was the chief information officer at a major healthcare system, where he helped grow the business in various C-level roles over his 14-year tenure there from one location to more than 120, from a few dozen employees to more than 5,000.

Excited by the growth and innovation in the commercial drone services and sensor industry, Worley keeps Asset Drone at the front of the UAS and UAV pack, enabling the company to offer rapid turnaround on projects.

His presentation will focus on using post-process kinematics ("PPK") using free tools to accurately measure Ground Control Point ("GCP") locations. Accurately placed GCP's are a necessary step to achieve accurate ortho-rectified imagery and topography maps, using tools such as Pix4D, DroneDeploy, and others. Details will include going over the entire process from end-to-end, and include detailed examples of specific tools and methods, such as use of RTKpost and CORS.

InterDrone, The International Drone Conference and Exposition, features more than 160 drone manufacturers, sellers and solutions providers. The event will take place at the Rio Hotel.
