Pamela Gelsomini is a chef, an artist and an entrepreneur who is passionate about food and fun. The result is her new blog, called "Dish off the Block," which provides readers with a glimpse into her life as a food sport competitor and access to her unique recipes— many of which are award-winning!
Pamela recently traveled to Tennessee as a finalist in the National Cornbread Cook-Off where she competed against 10 other chefs and took home first place for her 'Too Gouda to be True Cornbread Cakes with Pancetta Laced Seafood Cream Sauce.' On the heels of that win, Pamela won the "Stuffie Smackdown" contest, a local event in Newport, RI.
These recipes—and many more—can be found on her Dish off the Block blog, which launched this month. The name of the blog is a nod to her Block Island roots, where she spent her summers while growing up and now spends her days there creating eclectic food concepts to share with friends and social media followers.
"After years of exploring the world, embracing the cultures and cuisines, I'm thrilled to share my love of food in a blog that's inspired by international and local flavors," Pamela said.
Having spent the last 20 years building a multi-million dollar company and traveling the globe, Pamela is now capturing all of her experiences in her new role as a blogger and food sport competitor.
