The promotion is part of a new campaign – Bob Evans is "America's Farm Fresh" – which embraces the company's farm roots with an authentic brand story. The company has invested in a comprehensive, multi-pronged marketing program that focuses on the rich values in which the late Bob Evans himself believed, including hard work, fresh-quality ingredients, and contemporary homestyle meals the whole family can enjoy.

"This new campaign takes a fresh approach on the heritage that made us who we are today – offering delicious, craveable foods, including our Pick 2 Farm-Fresh Combos, served with our genuine hometown hospitality, all at an incredible value," said Bob Holtcamp, chief marketing officer at Bob Evans Restaurants.

Founded in 1948, Bob Evans began making sausage on his southeastern Ohio farm and served it at a small 12-stool diner he owned in Gallipolis. Since then, Bob Evans Restaurants has been crafting homestyle meals made with care that remind guests of their favorite family dishes.

Leveraging Bob Evans' rich farm history, the marketing campaign has a strong tie to America's farmers and includes a "Spokes-farmer" as the lead storyteller. Utilizing a multimedia strategy, the company will highlight Bob Evans' farm-raised values of fresh, homestyle food, and define a new array of dining offerings for its guests.

The campaign kicks off this summer, with Bob Evans' Pick 2 Farm-Fresh Favorites featuring hearty soups, farm-fresh salads and half sandwiches. Items are made in-house daily and include:

"Bob Evans has always been committed to bringing families and friends together around the table to connect over farm-fresh, great tasting foods at an affordable price," said Holtcamp. "We also recognize our guests are looking to customize their dining experience, which is why we're offering so many delicious combinations – a different one for each day of the summer. From farm-fresh salads to hand-crafted sandwiches, there is something for everyone."

Pick 2 Combos start at just $5.99 and are available at all Bob Evans Restaurants daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can also order a combo to-go online at https://www.bobevans.com/menu/pick-two.

FlowTracker Analytics and Prisma Campaigns join forces to help financial institutions make better data-driven decisions

Today, FlowTracker Analytics, expert in strategic deposit growth analytics, has partnered with Prisma Campaigns, provider of intelligent marketing automation to provide a combined solution for Financial Institutions (FIs). The companies share a vision of helping Banks and Credit Unions (CUs) leverage data to offer highly personalized customer experiences that boost marketing effectiveness, grow deposits and increase customer retention.

Many FIs struggle to determine how much growth is coming from new money (funds from external sources) versus internal product substitution. The result is money spent on marketing to customers in a generic manner, impairing efficiency of marketing and sales efforts and return on marketing investment. Read latest news here.

This SaaS solution has been designed for Community Banks and Credit Unions looking to understand which products and which members are driving new money growth, and gain insight into changes in consumer behavior so they can better address consumer needs. The solution analyzes money flow patterns to identify members who would benefit from specific products and services, delivers focused and relevant marketing campaigns to these people, and enables precise analysis of balance growth, product substitution and balance attrition outcomes. Be alert to the latest news.

FlowTracker Analytics' solutions help CUs and Banks understand and act on consumer behavior dynamics exposed by money flows into, out of, and within deposit and loan customer relationships. The company helps FIs increase core deposits with accessible analytics that enable smarter sales analysis, targeting for growth, understanding of customer behavior dynamics, and deeper product intelligence. Executives and analysts alike can easily navigate from a high level snapshot of what is happening across the organization through key dimensions like product, branch, and customer right down to individual customer's accounts. The solution includes over 135 pre-built data visualizations that increase accessibility of information while simultaneously reducing demands on scarce IT resources.

"Financial services professionals today should use facts instead of assumptions about their customers' behavior to inform decisions" says FlowTracker Analytics CEO Dave McNab. "Leveraging data every FI already has, analytics can identify who is likely to do new business, who is underserved, and many other opportunities for relationship growth and retention, like Amazon and Netflix do with their customers."

Prisma Campaigns is an omnichannel marketing platform designed for FIs to make campaign execution easier and more efficient. The company utilizes existing client data to maximize outreach efforts, allowing FIs to make every client feel special with personalized service offers. Using machine learning, the platform predicts clients' next move and communicates the best offer. It uses real-time metrics to adjust the campaign's effectiveness and share only the most relevant services. Messages are personalized to increase user retention by contacting them through their preferred channels, with personal and contextual messages. This optimizes message effectiveness using A/B testing and increases engagement, loyalty and conversions.

"Our collaboration with FlowTracker Analytics will allow more Credit Unions and Banks to identify members/customers with a high risk of taking their funds to another institution, or that are primed to increase their engagement with the FI – increasing share of wallet and loyalty" says Felipe Gil, CEO at Prisma Campaigns. "We're pleased to move forward with a partner that can help clients access strategic and tactical deposit growth analytics so we can work together on customer relationship growth and retention through engaging and targeted marketing campaigns."

The two companies believe the key reason many institutions don't focus on customer retention is because they don't see attrition as easily or accurately measurable.

"While attracting new members is critical for long term sustainability and growth, the Pareto Principle still applies: 80% of your growth will come from existing relationships," said McNah. "Hence, getting it right with them is not only important, it is mission critical. We are excited about this new partnership with Prisma Campaigns because we can work together to enable customers to identify attrition and act on it."

Raising a Healthier Generation of Children

Over the past several decades, a dramatic shift in health has occurred in the United States, and many other developed countries. Obesity has quickly become a leading nutritional disorder among adults and adolescents, and according to the World Health Organization, the prevalence of this obesity epidemic has more than doubled from 1975 to 2016. More info here.

Children are particularly susceptible to learning harmful habits as they typically follow the lifestyle example exhibited by their parents and/or guardians. When it comes to the daily intake of soda pop, and other sugary drinks, a study by Harvard University shows that "1 in 4 people get at least 200 calories from such drinks; and 5% get at least 567 calories—equivalent to four cans of soda." Not only is this habit detrimental to adults, but it also serves as a poor example of nutritional and self-care practices among adolescents.

The human body is primarily composed of water; for this reason, it is recommended that children ages 5-12 drink between 1 and 2 liters of water daily, depending on their own specific age bracket. When the main source of daily liquid intake stems from high caloric sources with little nutritional value, the body is taxed with an overload of unwanted calories. The kidneys must then work overtime to filter out any artificial substances such as dyes, corn syrups and flavorings. These additional calories from soda pop and other sugary drinks can attribute to obesity in adults and adolescents.

Educating our youth by example encourages them to be more aware of their daily beverage choices and proper self-care for their developing bodies. Knowing the health risks associated with sugary and highly caffeinated beverages helps to encourage all generations to consider a better approach to long-term health and well-being.

Healthy YOU Vending provides access to healthier beverage options that are comprised of natural ingredients and less sugar.

MidAmerican Energy Rated #1 Again in Energy Industry Benchmark Report

MidAmerican Energy takes top honors for the third consecutive year in the 15th Annual Energy Utility Benchmark Report on Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, released today (May 31) by IVR Doctors. The 2019 Report compares 100 energy utility automated telephone systems in the U.S. and Canada.

"Gold Stethoscope" recognition was awarded to winners in 13 categories, including Top Overall Company; Top Electric, Gas, and Combination Utility; and Top Canadian Utility, as well as to 14 "balanced companies," whose automated telephone system achieved top quartile ratings in all rating categories.

"What distinguishes this report from others is its simultaneous views of an automated phone system from two perspectives: a caller's experience using it and a company's experience managing it. Our clients prove that success in both areas is not mutually exclusive," said Peter Brandt, IVR Doctors' co-founder. Read this here.

The Report identifies automated telephone systems that successfully balance company objectives and customer preferences in three key rating categories: functionality, usability, and aesthetics, the major drivers of customer satisfaction and system utilization.

"Over the years, in clients' public presentations, we have seen a strong correlation between overall Top Quartile performance and both positive operational metrics and strong caller satisfaction," said Mark Camack, IVR Doctors' co-founder.  "The Report also highlights common design mistakes and demonstrates clearly how those errors can have a negative impact on a company and its customers' experience."

The 100 companies evaluated in the 2019 Report were rated using standards which IVR Doctors can apply to any other company interested in inclusion in the Benchmark. No other consistent set of IVR design characteristics have been in place or proven effective in utility industry automated telephone systems over the 15 years of this Benchmark Report.

The 2019 Report is available online at ivrdoctors.com. As an additional benefit, Report buyers receive a customized teleconference with IVR Doctors, targeted specifically to their company's automated system menus.

The May 2019 Edition of The Bridge, the Materials Science Newsletter from Rigaku, is Now Online

The May 2019 edition of The Bridge, the materials science newsletter from Rigaku Corporation, is now available online on the company's global website. The Bridge presents current news and analysis techniques related to X-ray based materials science, including articles, scientific papers and news reports.

The featured article explores the advantages of using an SQL database for measurement and analysis result data. The SQL database provided with the Rigaku SmartLab Studio II software centralizes measurement and analysis result data.

This month's featured X-ray diffraction (XRD) technical note describes phase identification and orientation analysis for a thin film solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) material using a 2D detector. Phase identification is sometimes difficult by ordinary XRD, but using a 2D detector is shown to enable fast confirmation of the orientation of each crystal phase.

The wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) application note describes the analysis of platinum (Pt), rhodium (Rh) and palladium (Pd) in used automobile catalysts and demonstrates that they can be quantified reliably at trace level concentrations using the pressed powder method and Rigaku ZSX Primus series spectrometers.

The energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) application note details measurement of lead (Pb) in gasoline using the Bismuth (Bi) internal standard method Part C (ultra-low lead for MoGas, motor gasoline) and Part A (high Pb for AvGas, aviation gasoline). The method highlights the performance of the Rigaku NEX QC+ EDXRF analyzer using direct excitation for the measurement of lead by ASTM D5059 - Standard Test Methods for Lead in Gasoline by X-Ray Spectroscopy - as well as for many other applications in the petroleum and fuel industries.

Another application note describes the analysis of toxic trace elements in wastewater by total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF). The method offers the advantage of avoiding much of the effect of interference of matrix components, compared to induced coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) analysis.

"Material Analysis in the News" presents roundup of the latest global news stories related to materials analysis. One news story describes the mission of Japan's Hayabusa probe to an asteroid in 2003. Approximately seven years later, it returned to Earth's surface with a sample of the space rock stowed inside. Those samples have been the subject of much interest in the scientific community, and now a new research paper reveals that the tiny specks of material contain water, something that could also tell us a lot about our own planet.

Click here to read the latest news.:

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/sago-mini-launches-worlds-first-pillow.html

Another news story reports on efforts by scientists at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and Japan's Hokkaido University to develop stress-indicating molecules that can be integrated into polymers and signal damages or excessive mechanical loads optically. Its use will aid in predicting when a material will fail under mechanical stress.

As always, recently published scientific papers are presented, along with a book review, a featured video, a schedule of conferences and workshops, and other information relating to the latest developments in materials science.
