Red Giant Releases Epic Finish to Game of Thrones VFX Tutorial Series: Dragons

Red Giant has just released the fourth and final installment of its special edition tutorial series for recreating the award-winning visual effects from Game of Thrones. In episode 11 of Cheap Tricks, Hashi shows viewers how to add a dragon into their shot. Using Red Giant tools, Hashi explains how to create two terrifyingly awesome dragon VFX shots - including one featuring dragon fire and the epic destruction of the zombie horde he created in episode 10. "Little Fergen's Fish Feelings" by Charles M. Iker Swims Into Bookstores in October to Help Kids Cope With Their Parents' Divorce

Almost half of all marriages end in divorce, and the children suffer emotionally. If their feelings are left unaddressed, children of divorce can grow up to be unhappy adults, unable to achieve successful relationships or healthy lives.

Charles M. Iker, LCSW, ACSW, BCD, is a psychiatric social worker with thirty-five years of experience working with children who have suffered from the effects of divorce. As a father and a therapist who went through divorce and who watched the emotional impact it had on his child, and later on his stepson, he conceived and wrote Little Fergen's Fish Feelings.

The story is simple: Fergen is a happy little fish. He swims and plays with his sisters in the sea. But, when Fergen gets the unexpected news that his parents are going through a divorce and that he and his sisters will have to move into a new home, his carefree life as a free floating fish is turned belly-up. In the end, the story offers a positive approach to help a child learn to cope with the volatility and emotional reality of divorce. Read related news now.

"When left unprocessed, these feelings can have an extremely negative effect on people and become the foundation for anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral problems, and other physiological difficulties," Iker states. He recommends that therapists and parents use Fergen as a psychological aid, to read to their patients or to their children. For parents in the process of divorcing, he suggests that each parent read Fergen to their children separately, to provide continuity and reinforcement.
