Local Philanthropists, Lauren Turton and Clement Connor, Hold Fundraiser Event to Support Non-Profit Organization, Namaste–Wings to Fly America

Over the weekend of Independence Day, local philanthropists and entrepreneurs Lauren Turton and Clement Connor hosted a fundraising event for the international nonprofit organization, Namaste – Wings to Fly America (NWFA) at the La Jolla house. Via attendee donations and an artwork auction, the joint venture funded a valuation of over $4,000 for the nonprofit.

"We love seeing our network come together to support a good cause. We're happy to support any group who wants to give back to those in need". – Clement Connor, Co-Founder of CNG Digital Marketing and SiO Digital Read this for more information.

Turton and Connor planned this fundraising event on Independence Day because of the large potential exposure. With over 150 San Diegans in attendance, the duo was able to raise over $4,000 via donations and an auction of local artwork from San Diego-native artist, Austin Reed, in support of NWFA.

Namaste – Wings to Fly America is involved in a variety of efforts for the benefit of orphanages and women in need from India. Turton and Connor's contributions specifically have been to benefit the construction of a women's computer center where women can learn basic computer programs and develop their skillsets.

The duo's next charity event benefitting NWFA will be taking place on August 8th at Quartyard, San Diego. "Weekender @ Quartyard" will feature live artists (namely Justin Campbell, Eric Medina) vendors, and a silent auction to raise money for the organization. The planning committee encourages the public to attend this event to build awareness for this organization and promote welfare within the San Diego community.

About Namaste – Wings to Fly America: Namaste - Wings to Fly America focuses on helping children from Southern India. Many children in this region of India do not have access to education or healthcare and have very little future opportunities for themselves. The main goal of this organization is to provide these children with the skills to become completely self-sufficient come adulthood. Lauren Turton's program, "At Least One Day a Month", facilitates NWFA efforts in the United States so the organization can have a global reach.
