Shine United Named Ad Agency Partner For The University Of Wisconsin-Whitewater

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UW-Whitewater) College of Business and Economics has hired Shine United for a variety of strategic and creative projects designed to bolster their online degree program. The two-year partnership was awarded following a rigorous interview process with three other Wisconsin-based agencies.

UW-Whitewater's business program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a distinction only bestowed upon 5% of business schools worldwide. In addition to the fixed-tuition rate for all students, the online degree program offers greater class flexibility than a traditional in-classroom program.

Shine United, a full-service advertising agency based in Madison, Wisconsin, will be responsible for a "do-everything" campaign seeking to elevate perceptions, attract applicants and drive enrollment. Services will include marketing and brand strategy, quantitative research and a wide range of activation services including media planning/buying, digital and inbound marketing, creative development and video production. "The online degree program at UW-Whitewater is one of the best in the country," said Dr. John Chenoweth, Dean of the College of Business and Economics. "It's time for our brand to get the credit it truly deserves — meaning better perceptions and increased enrollment. We chose Shine because they had a deep understanding of our business, a thoughtful approach to our brand and a truly integrated framework to drive success."

This partnership is an exciting opportunity for the agency, since Shine is home to many UW-Whitewater alumni, both on the faculty and student side.

"Along with several Shine staff ties to UW-Whitewater, working with an academic institution as accomplished as their business college is an exciting challenge for Shine," said Curt Hanke, Shine founder and CEO. "We want to help them build a brand that will attract new students to their second-to-none online degree program, but still want to maintain the emphasis that this is part of an overall university system. We are honored to have the opportunity to partner at such an exciting time for the college and university."
