Mercy Health Services Names Claudia Keenan SVP of Institutional Advancement

Mercy Health Services President & CEO Thomas R. Mullen announced today the appointment of Ms. Claudia Keenan as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement for the $750 million health system. In that role, Keenan will serve as Executive Director of the Mercy Health Foundation, Mercy Health Services' philanthropic arm, and act as a key liaison to the Baltimore region's business and nonprofit communities.

"We are very pleased to announce Ms. Keenan's arrival at Mercy," Mr. Mullen said. "She brings with her a wealth of talent, experience, and a diverse background from both inside and outside the health care arena."

"Claudia's work will enable Mercy to strengthen our community service through increased philanthropy supporting our healthcare mission."

"Ms. Keenan has an impressive track record in the development field, and we are very excited to welcome her to the senior management team at Mercy," said Michael J. Batza, Chair of the Development Committee of the Mercy Health Services Board of Trustees.

Prior to coming to Mercy, Ms. Keenan served as Deputy Director of Advancement and Executive Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation in Richmond, VA, and as Vice President for External Relations and Chief of Staff at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She has also served as Vice President of Business Development of The New York Botanical Garden as well as the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center.
