Ed Maurer Insurance Agency Leads Toledo Area Charity Campaign to Provide Food to Hungry Families

Ed Maurer, founder and CEO of the Ed Maurer Insurance Agency in Northwood, is releasing information on a charity campaign the agency is launching to provide assistance to local residents facing food insecurity. Funds raised from the campaign will be provided to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, a regional nonprofit that provides more than 6 million meals per year to northern Ohio families struggling with hunger.

"Right here in our community, the tragic reality is that one in seven people and one in five children deal daily with food shortage. Our team believes in the Toledo Food Bank, and we're excited to see how much support is coming in," said Maurer.

The Maurer team is using social media along with an invitation and rewards program to help encourage community involvement in the ongoing campaign. For each person referred into the firm for a complimentary insurance appraisal, Maurer has pledged to make a $10 donation to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.
