ECS Releases its New Folio Edition, Focusing on Children and Youth Programming

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) has released its latest folio edition, titled "The Future is Theirs," and showcasing the variety of safe and wide-ranging educational experiences ECS provides to children and youth over summer break, after school, and on weekends.

Throughout the region, ECS offers a wide range of age-appropriate programming to help young people foster a curiosity of learning that prepares them for successful futures. Programs are geared to children in elementary, middle, and high school grades. Currently ECS programs reach approximately 700 students at eight sites across the Philadelphia region.

The new folio edition follows the experiences of a fifth-grader named Emani, who has joined the Out of School Time (OST) program, along with her sisters. It tells about a visit to The Franklin Institute, as well as the fun and excitement Emani and her classmates experience as part of the program's STEAM (science, technology engineering, arts and mathematics) curriculum.

"Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where each child is empowered to be their best," says Christian Holland, MBA, MDiv, senior director of OST and youth programs for ECS. "Many of
our students come from neighborhoods with high rates of poverty and unemployment, so these kinds of school-based community services can provide them with vital connections."
