HealthyChildren.org, the official American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Web site for parents, has released a new issue of Healthy Children, a digital-only magazine for smartphones and tablets. Available in English and Spanish and distributed free of charge, the 2018 Back-to-School issue helps parents prepare for the new school year.
The e-magazine's feature article, "ABC's of Good Health Start With Immunizations," explains the importance of keeping children fully vaccinated and includes 2 full size, downloadable charts showing the recommended immunizations by age. Other articles in this issue offer timely advice for parents on packing healthy lunches and being a good role model to reinforce learning in school, as well as special guidance for military families whose children are transitioning to a new school this fall.
Parents may download the e-magazine on the App Store or on Google Play. The digital magazine is also available as a PDF at HealthyChildren.org/e-magazine.
