Oak City Greetings Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Let's Set The Scene... Continue reading.

There they are, dedicated loving husbands and fathers, standing in the crowded greeting card aisle of the local drug store or big box store for the 100th time, dreading buying a card for their wife for whatever special occasion is rapidly approaching. In the most likely scenario, they forgot today was *insert important occasion* and they're already behind the eight ball. They take those last few precious minutes before heading home and suddenly feel overwhelmed by all the choices.

He picks up the first card…EIGHT DOLLARS?!..He puts it back. The next card…SEVEN DOLLARS?! He puts it back. Much to his dismay, it doesn't get better after the tenth card he picks up. He gives up and goes back to the first one he looked at. By this time, the wife has called him because he's now late for the *insert special occasion* dinner date.

Sound Familiar? Husbands and fathers alike, doing their best to try to make their wife feel special, but something so simple as a greeting card, makes special occasions so cringe worthy!

Oak City Greetings knew there had to be a better way...and that's how it began.

It's simple. Oak City Greetings does THREE SMALL BUT CRUCIAL THINGS…

Save Time…Save Money…and Save Your Backside

BUT HOW?!

Save Time... They have all the greeting cards needed for each special occasion for two years.

Save Money… Cards are priced at $2.50 per card, this is roughly $3 to $5 less than cards purchased in the store.

Save Your Backside…Never again will someone forget to buy their wife a card for a special occasion. And, for those not so special occasions, they've even included I'm Sorry and Thinking of You cards. They've thought of everything.

"Spreading the word about this product and how it's helping husbands and fathers is important and that's why a Kickstarter Campaign was the right fit for us." says Paul, CEO of Oak City Greetings. This campaign is focused on creating and producing fourteen greeting cards which make up the inaugural box set, the Sweetheart Collection.

The card quality is as good or better than any in the industry. Each design is printed in four-color process on a heavy 14pt. felt cover cream-colored card stock. The Foil printed greeting cards are printed on a heavy 14pt. felt cover cream-colored card stock and finished with foil printed elements. The inside verses are also printed in full color and match the coloration of the image on the front of the card. The inside of the cards are uncoated, to allow for a personal handwritten message.

Here is a list of how the fourteen cards will breakdown by Category:
Valentine's Day - 2 Designs
Happy Birthday - 2 Designs
Happy Anniversary - 2 Designs
Mother's Day - 2 Designs
Thinking Of You - 2 Designs
I'm Sorry - 4 Designs (Yes, that is correct, 4 I'm Sorry Cards. You know you'll need them!)

Each card has a unique design, a pre-printed inside verse, and is paired with a colorful matching envelope – creating a special and unique package greeting card for each occasion. The Anniversary, Birthday, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day cards feature foil printed elements for an added touch. Thinking of You and I'm Sorry cards are printed in full color process.

CHESS Health Receives $1.5 Million Grant to Enhance eIntervention with more SBIRT Functionality

CHESS Health, the leading provider of comprehensive addiction management technology, has received a fast-track grant of $1.5 million from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The goal of the grant, identified as 1R44DA050214, is to improve the rate at which those at risk of substance use disorder (SUD), or who require SUD treatment, actually follow through on recommendations following screening in a primary care setting.

Read latest news here.:

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/codeweavers-partners-with-cyan-to-bring.html

CHESS Health's innovative eIntervention solution, launched in 2019, is currently deployed at dozens of medical and addiction providers nationwide, ranging from hospitals to MAT clinics to full-continuum behavioral health providers. The web-based solution automates referrals for treatment and wrap-around services through closed-loop provider-to-provider communications. In addition, eIntervention uniquely engages the patient throughout the transition of care through its companion Envoy app, which offers the patient real-time referral details, informative and motivating video content, and secure messaging with their providers. Read here.

The NIDA grant will fund the enhancement of the Envoy app to deliver targeted interventions to individuals reporting risky use of substances, but who have not yet developed full-onset SUD requiring treatment. Kathleen Carroll, PhD, the Albert E Kent Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, will lead a panel of SBIRT experts in designing the preventative interventions to be added to the Envoy app. SBIRT is the clinical practice of screening for substance use, brief intervention and referral to treatment. Be alert to the latest news.

In order to streamline the administrative process, the grant is presented in two phases. For both phases, CHESS Health will collaborate with Cherry Health, the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan. In Phase 1, Cherry Health will conduct a usability trial of the Envoy app for patients referred to treatment for substance use disorder. In Phase 2, Cherry Health will conduct a randomized clinical trial of the effectiveness of the Envoy app in increasing successful referrals to treatment and in reducing substance use among those reporting risky use but not requiring treatment.

"This NIDA grant will enable us to add prevention functionality to our current addiction treatment technology platform, which already includes smartphone-delivered evidence-based treatment and recovery support, digital cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and referral to treatment," says Hans Morefield, chief executive officer of CHESS Health. "At CHESS, addressing the personal and societal crisis of addiction is foremost on our minds – preventing addiction is the next frontier."

Cherry Health's interest in the proposal was spurred by its commitment to fully integrate health services with substance use disorders and mental illness into its primary care mission as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Read this here.

"SBIRT is a terrific practice, but it is not enough when it comes to improving patient adherence to treatment referrals," says Leslie Pelkey, MD, and chief medical officer of Cherry Health. "That's why we're very interested in this initiative to improve health outcomes, and the overall patient experience by making SBIRT actionable."

"We have two goals with this grant," explained Dr. Carroll. "We want to double the current rate of follow-up specialty SUD care from approximately 17 percent to an achieved rate of at least 35 percent, and we want to measure a reduction in substance use among all patients that get the Envoy app. If we achieve these goals, this effort will be an important milestone in applying technology to the prevention of addiction."

Poisons Kill More than Pests – Make Pet Safety a Priority for Pet Poison Prevention Month

According to the ASPCA, rodenticides and insecticides are among the top ten household toxins that poison pets every year. Most recent data from the ASPCA Animal Poison Center (APCC) estimates that of the 213,773 cases received, rodenticides and insecticides made up 12.5% of incidents in 2018. The Pet Poison Helpline also reports that rodenticides "always rank within the top 5 cases" managed by the helpline annually.

March is Pet Poison Prevention month, with special observance starting the week of March 16th, which is dedicated to Poison Awareness Week. Kari Warberg Block, Pest Prevention Expert and CEO/Founder of plant-based pest control company EarthKind®, seeks to educate and urge pet owners to think twice before using harmful chemicals in the home that seriously threaten a pet's health and safety.

"What many homeowners may forget when using poisonous pest control methods is that rodenticides and insecticides can be just as toxic, and appetizing, to your four-legged friends as they are to the pest," she states. "A pet's curious nature automatically puts them at risk, and depending on the active ingredient used, poisoning symptoms may not appear for three to five days," notes Warberg Block. Read news here.

The active ingredient type and concentration determine the severity of poisoning the pet will endure. Long-lasting anticoagulants (LAACs) are the most used active ingredients in rodenticides and prevent an animal's blood from clotting, causing a slow death from internal bleeding. Other active ingredients include Cholecalciferol, which can cause acute kidney failure in pets, and Bromethalin, which can lead to brain swelling, tremors, and seizures in animals. Typical symptoms of poisoning to look out for include lack of coordination, lethargy, vomiting, poor appetite, pale gums and difficulty breathing.

"If you think your pet has been poisoned, call your vet or the Pet Poison Helpline immediately. If possible, locate the box of the pest control product to help them identify the active ingredient ingested." More info here.

But Warberg Block warns that it's not only direct contact with pesticides that is risky. "Pets are great pest catchers, so they also run the risk of secondhand poisoning from the pest itself," she explains, "In many cases, rodents are still active for a few days after ingesting poison, leaving pets at risk of poisoning too. If the rodent escapes outside, this threatens wildlife poisoning up the food chain, something that's been happening all too frequently," she states. Be alert to the latest news.

With Spring around the corner, Warberg Block notes that there will be no shortage of pests this year. Rather than filling the home with poisons, she recommends natural methods such as sealing cracks in windows, doors, and walls with caulk or weatherstrip, transferring dry food into airtight containers, fixing any leaks, and cleaning up areas where pet food may be present in order to adequately eliminate attractants that lure pests in.

Warberg Block created EarthKind to "preserve the good and prevent the rest," determined to reduce consumer reliance on poisonous pest control products with its plant-based alternatives.

With product options for Rodents, Spiders, Ants and Moths, all EarthKind® products are safe for use around pets and children when used as directed. "My intention is to always work in harmony with our planet, using the power of nature to keep pests out of the home, without poisons, in order to protect what's inside. Our four-legged friends deserve to live in a safe environment, let's all make a conscious effort to create one for them!" Click here.

If you think your pet has ingested any poison, call the Pet Poison Helpline immediately at 855-764-7661 or go to http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com.

ShipperBee Unveils Hive Technology to Canadian Gas and Convenience Owners at Convenience U CARWACS

ShipperBee announced today the unveiling of its network of transfer mailboxes, called Hives, for the first time in Canada at Convenience U CARWACS 2020 being held at Toronto Congress Centre in Toronto, March 3-4, 2020. Read news here.

ShipperBee is a first-of-its-kind end-to-end delivery system that pays commuters and other drivers to deliver parcels using its network of Hive transfer mailboxes located at gas and convenience locations throughout North America. Certified, background checked, and rated drivers use these Hives as pick-up and drop-off points for packages, like a baton in a relay.

"With more than 5,000 attendees, the 2020 Convenience U CARWACS Show provides an ideal opportunity to showcase our Hives, and their value, to gas and convenience retailers throughout Canada," said ShipperBee's chief operating officer, Paul McLean. "Attendees can visit us at booth 531 to see a live demonstration of the Hive and discover how becoming a Hive host can open their brand up to a whole new profit channel without any investment — one that can earn an additional source of income in parcel profit and add new annual gas and convenience revenue."

Hive hosts are paid for every parcel that passes through the Hives. They also benefit from moving two potential customers — the drop-off driver and pick-up driver — through their locations as parcels move through the Hive network. In return, hosts benefit from increased fuel sales, in-store traffic and new loyalty rewards members through a whole new audience segment.

ShipperBee also offers a holistic data-driven view into location-specific insights surrounding visitor demographics and behaviours to drive better business outcomes. Hive hosts can then leverage this data to proactively targeting, incentive and measure the increase in traffic and in-store purchases by their newly captured market segment.

The company's CMO, Lynda Murray, and Director of Marketing, Brandi Smith, will also deliver an educational session on March 4th at 11am entitled, "Effortless Ways to Increase Gas and Convenience Revenue," where attendees will discover four key ways to drive additional profit and revenue in their locations without any investment or upfront costs.

To learn more about ShipperBee, please visit booth #531 at the event or http://www.shipperbee.com.
