Yamaha PSR-SX700 and PSR-SX900 Arranger Workstation Keyboards Raise Bar for Performance and Composition

Yamaha today debuted the PSR-SX700 and PSR-SX900, two 61-key Arranger Workstation keyboards for composing, arranging and playing confidently out at gigs. Read related news now.

These elegant, all-in-one instruments, which replace the PSR-S775 and PSR-S975 respectively, inherit inspiring content and powerful features from Genos, the world's most advanced Digital Workstation keyboard. Just as Genos set a new standard when it was introduced by the company last year, the new mid-priced keyboards are poised to raise the bar for workstations at more affordable price points, making it even easier to streamline creative flow, transform musical ideas into fully-arranged productions, and to recall them at the touch of a button.

How an Arranger Workstation sounds, and the ease with which the user can control these sounds, are critical considerations to the creative process. The PSR-SX700 and PSR-SX900 offer unmatched ultrarealistic and expressive Super Articulation Voices, with greater real-time control over a performance than other similarly-priced keyboards on the market today. Read this for more information.

Both share a brilliant 7-inch TFT touch screen that incorporates the same intuitive graphic user interface offered on Genos, allowing users to easily navigate Voice and Style assignments, as well as assess and adjust other settings.

Six new assignable controller buttons have been added beneath the touch screen, each of which can be assigned a desired function. Simply pressing the button during a performance or composing/arranging session enables the user to jump directly to relevant controls in the display.

A new joystick controller with modulation hold opens up expressive possibilities and is ideally suited for almost every genre of music.

Built-in content from the Yamaha Voice & Style Expansion library provides instant access to a huge variety of international content. Expansion memory size has been greatly increased in both keyboards—to 400MB in the PSR-SX700, 1GB in the PSR-SX900—allowing users to further customize their instrument by adding their choice of content from YamahaMusicSoft.com

New Voices and DSP have also been added, inherited from Genos. To complete the creative process, arrangements made with the 16-track recorder/player can be output as studio-quality WAV audio files to play back on smart devices or computers.

The PSR-SX900, which incorporates a newly-designed, bi-amped speaker system with a wide stereo audio field, is the new flagship of the PSR-SX line. It boasts 4GB of internal memory, 1337 instrument Voices, 56 Drum/SFX kits, and 480 XG Voices, as well as 329 Multi Pad banks. To ensure silky-smooth, high-quality sound, the DAC (Digital Audio Converter) on this keyboard has been upgraded to 32-bit, the same as those found in Genos and in the top-of-the-line Yamaha MONTAGE synthesizer.

Other new features in this model include 8 insert effect slots, a Chord Looper function, Bluetooth audio, Main L&R line outputs, plus Sub L&R line outputs and two USB to device ports.

The PSR-SX700 includes many of the same features at a lower price point, and boasts 1GB of internal memory, 986 instrument Voices, 41 Drum/SFX kits and 480 XG Voices, as well as 5 insert effect slots, 226 Multi Pad banks, Main L&R line outputs and one USB to device port.

"Performers and writers will be very impressed with the breadth of new content, customizability and expandability found in these keyboards," said Ben Harrison, marketing manager, Digital Piano & Portable Keyboard, Yamaha Corporation of America. "The PSR-SX series represents some of the most powerful songwriting tools around. Using these keyboards, songwriters can get from an idea to a fully arranged demo faster than ever, and performers can get the room moving in no time."

As with their predecessors, both new keyboards can be used with the optional Yamaha KS-SW100 subwoofer, which makes the already powerful onboard speaker systems sound even bigger.

Pricing and Availability
The Yamaha PSR-SX900 (MSRP $2,799) and PSR-SX700 (MSRP $1,999) are expected to ship in October 2019.

Veteran Nonprofit will Host Annual 9/11 Heroes Runs Nationwide to Honor Those Lost on September 11th and the Wars Since

Travis Manion Foundation will host the 12th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run 5K Race Series throughout the month of September, in more than 50 locations across the country and around the world. The race series will unite the community to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, as well as to honor our veterans, military, and first responders who serve our country and our communities.

More info here.:

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/author-wins-four-literary-awards-for.html

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K series was inspired by Marine 1st Lt. Travis Manion, who was killed by an enemy sniper in Iraq in April 2007 as he selflessly pulled his wounded teammates to safety. Before his final deployment, Travis visited Rescue One in NYC—famous for losing almost all of their men on 9/11—and returned home with a deeper passion about why he was fighting in Iraq. At its heart, the 9/11 Heroes Run is a tribute to a personal commitment to never forget the heroes of that day.

A number of the races will also host the VAU Fallen Heroes Memorial, a 28-foot wide American flag made entirely of dog tags of fallen service members. According to Veterans & Athletes United (VAU), the memorial was created to raise awareness of the sacrifices paid by our nation's heroes, and it is designed in the shape of the American flag when draped over a fallen service member's casket.

For the 2019 race series, Travis Manion Foundation has again partnered with GORUCK for a ruck division of 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is moving with weight on your back and is the foundation of Special Forces training. It combines strength and cardio, is adaptable to anyone's goals based on the amount of weight carried, and is a popular, empowering activity for those who hate to run or find it boring. As part of the marketing campaign for 9/11 Heroes Run series, TMF has released a video to inspire runners and walkers of all ages to participate, which can be seen here.

"During this time of unprecedented division in our country, I am inspired to see so many communities across the country and around the world put their differences aside to unite in honor of all those touched by the events of September 11th, 2001." said Ryan Manion, President of Travis Manion Foundation. "We challenge all Americans to join us this September, to ensure our future generations never forget the sacrifices of our veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and civilians who were affected by the attacks on 9/11 and in the wars since."

Travis Manion Foundation's 9/11 Heroes Run is proud to have Comcast NBCUniversal as a national sponsor. For more information about the race series or to register, visit http://www.911heroesrun.org

Younger U.S Consumers are Open to Financial Help from Their Primary Financial Institution

Mercator Advisory Group's most recent Insight Summary Report, Consumers and Personal Finance: Primary FIs Have an Opportunity to Help, from the bi-annual CustomerMonitor Survey Series, reveals that over 80% of U.S. consumers 18–34 years old would be open to budgeting, saving, and credit monitoring help from their primary financial institution. More specifically, 89% would be interested in talking to their primary FI about setting a household budget to meet their goals, 88% would be interesting in budget monitoring services, 87% would be interested in automatic savings plans to help meet their budgeting needs, and 84% would be open to a conversation about credit monitoring services.

The report is based on a sample of 3,001 U.S. adults surveyed in the annual online Banking and Channels survey of Mercator's CustomerMonitor Survey Series, conducted in November 2018.

The study highlights consumers' use and interest in setting household budgets, defining financial goals and services that financial institutions can provide to help their customers reach their goals and build their wealth. It examines the opportunity for financial institutions to offer financial advice and identifies the types of financial advice they currently use, wealth management account relationships, small business owners and the demographics of consumers most interested in budgeting and personal finance in terms of use of personal financial management (PFM) tools, mobile and online banking activities performed, new account opening, and interest in mobile-based personalized services.

"Oftentimes primary financial institutions lose out on the opportunity to help their customers build wealth as those customers look to other financial services to address their personal finance needs. Focusing on the younger customer as they start to build wealth is a great opportunity to attract them before they begin to look elsewhere," stated the author of the report, Peter Reville, director of Primary Data Services at Mercator Advisory Group, which includes the CustomerMonitor Survey Series.

Highlights of this report include:

Companies mentioned in this report include: AceMoney, BankTree, iCash, Intuit Quicken, Microsoft Money, Mint, Moneydance, MoneyLine, Personal Capital, and YouNeedaBudget.

Members of Mercator Advisory Group CustomerMonitor Survey Series Service have access to this report as well as the upcoming research for the year ahead, presentations, analyst access and other membership benefits.

Juiced Systems Share Substantive Visual Guide to USB’s Origins

In anticipation of the USB 4 release, Juiced Systems, a provider of premium-quality computer accessories, has released the infographic USB 3.X vs USB4: Battle of Generations.

With the recent announcement of USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), defined as "a non-profit corporation founded by the group of companies that developed the Universal Serial Bus specification," the USB is poised to have more power and more speed. The upgraded version is getting closer to the promised one-cable-for-all solution.

Read related news now.:

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/toysrus-liquidation-and-early-easter.html

The evolution of USB, short for Universal Serial Bus, started back in 1994. However, it was not until the launching of USB 1.0 in 1996 when people started using it, with a signal rate of 12 megabits per second. The start of the high-speed USB was in 2000, with the release of USB 2.0, running at 480 megabits per second. It was around the same time smaller connectors, like micro USBs, were produced for charging and display on smartphones and other multimedia devices. Read this here.

The infographic aims to educate USB users on the different specifications and what to expect from the upgraded version. It provides details on faster transfer speed, better resource allocation, and compatibility.

Also, the infographic compares the advantages of USB 4, based on the specifications from USB-IF, to its predecessors. With its 40 gigabytes per second signal rate, USB 4 has the capacity to daisy-chain multiple devices with 4k displays. With the integration of Thunderbolt 3, data and display protocols can be simultaneously transferred. Be alert to the latest news.

Intel, known for producing computer processors, including Thunderbolt 3, has released its protocol to the public royalty-free. It means manufacturers can create USB 4 with the Thunderbolt 3 capacity without having to pay Intel for the licensing fee.

True REST Float Spa Honors US Military and Veterans with Almost 3,000 Free Floats

Since 2015, True REST Float Spa has given away almost 3,000 complimentary floats to U.S. active-duty military and veterans. True REST Float Spa's commitment to the military is growing stronger. To show support and appreciation for the sacrifices made by men and women who serve the U.S. military, True REST Float Spa has designated every 11th day of the month, every month, as U.S. Military Appreciation Day and offers a free, 60-minute float to any active-duty military member and/or veteran.

Post-traumatic stress disorder – also known as PTSD, depression, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and stress and pain-related conditions are increasing at an alarming rate among active-duty servicewomen and men, veterans and nonveterans alike. With time, PTSD and depression can lead to several prescribed medications, an increased rate of suicide, and a disconnect from friends and family. However, there is a natural and holistic treatment. Backed by scientific clinical studies, float therapy in a sensory deprivation pod is an alternative treatment for people with stress and pain-related conditions.

When a person floats, they lie absolutely still on top of a specialized Epsom salts water solution with zero stimulation. There are no distractions such as movement, sound, light, taste, touch and smell, so areas of the brain responsible for these activities are essentially turned off. The water temperature is expertly calibrated where the air, water and body match perfectly. Because floating creates a weightless sensation, the spinal cord receives respite as well.

Dr. Justin Feinstein, director of the Float Clinic & Research Center at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research, said at the 2018 Float Conference that he conducted a randomized controlled trial of 20 healthy patients and 37 patients who suffered from anxiety across the spectrum, many who suffered from comorbid depression. The patients were randomly selected for two experiences: a float therapy session or watching a DVD of BBC Earth, a nature-related documentary with nature scenes that promotes relaxation. Every patient did both selections for 90 minutes. Feinstein measured EEG brain waves, electrocardiogram waves and blood pressure during the float and the DVD. He took blood samples before and after each experiment.

What he discovered after the study was that all patients experienced an increase in serenity – or mood – and relaxation post float; muscle tension and anxiety significantly decreased post float, drastically more than those who participated in the Earth study. Additionally, during the float, patients realized improvement with their high frequency heart rate variability, and diastolic blood pressure improved. Feinstein said, "This is the anti-anxiety effect of floating." He was also able to prove with 95 percent confidence that the reduction in the patients' stress, anxiety and serenity levels continues up to 20 hours post float. When anxiety pharmaceuticals are used, stress, anxiety and serenity levels reappear after four to eight hours.

In April, the National Institute for Health via the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health funded the first ever floatation therapy research grant. This R34 grant will allow Feinstein to further study the long-term effects of floating on patients with anxiety and depression and research this therapy as an intervention approach for anxiety, addiction and anorexia.

"We must look at alternative wellness therapies. Simply put, America is fighting a war on pharmaceutical pain drugs. Clinical research and published studies, time after time, prove the pain-relieving effects and mental wellness benefits of floatation therapy," said True REST Float Spa CEO James Rowe. "Our military personnel and veterans have made many sacrifices for us, putting their lives at stake to secure our freedom and security. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, as many as 11-20 percent of veterans have reported PTSD. True REST Float Spa steadfastly believes that it is our collective responsibility to help those who have given so much for our freedom in any way we can."

In May, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2359: Whole Veteran Act which would direct the Department of Veterans Affairs to study alternative health services that it currently offers and determine the amount it would cost in order to expand those services throughout the Veterans Health Administration. They want veterans to try a combination of old and new treatment methods, and use treatments like yoga, meditation and acupuncture before drugs. The bill is awaiting the Senate's vote.

True REST Float Spa is the world's largest floatation therapy brand promoting pain relief, relaxation and better sleep through a membership-based franchise model. The brand, already on the cutting edge of floatation technology and health as an all-natural treatment modality for a balanced, holistic lifestyle, is challenging the Department of Veterans Affairs to seriously examine floatation therapy as a treatment for PTSD and depression. Floatation therapy creates a unique experience per individual and reduces the use of alternative methods of relief that are not considered holistic.

Additionally, because of Feinstein's float therapy research and the multiple published peer-reviewed papers, True REST Float Spa has announced that he will be the keynote speaker at this year's franchisee annual meeting held in San Diego, September 19 and 20.
