Parqueo App Officially Launches in Austin, Texas

The mobile parking app, Parqueo, has announced their official launch in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, April 16, as the city's Spring festival season ramps up. Parqueo's platform allows parking space owners to rent out their spaces to locals and visitors, who then may reserve the parking space ahead of time. The space owner sets up a profile with location and price and the renter searches for spaces that match their preferences using GPS.

"Parqueo is designed to pair up the perfect parking space with a matching renter," said Parqueo founder and CEO, Ben Frost. "Our app utilizes empty parking spaces in homeowners' driveways, so drivers in the area can easily find parking through our mobile app."

Parqueo's Austin launch is intended to assist the Austin community during festivals like Eeyore's Birthday, Austin Food and Wine Festival, and Austin Reggae Festival, since parking options for those events are limited.

"With year-round events, Austin is a sought-out destination with traffic and parking challenges for the residents and event attendees," said Frost. "However, the neighborhoods and event locations are intertwined throughout the city, making any available driveway a perfect parking spot."

The app is currently available for free download in iTunes and Google Play.
