The 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI Rabbit Edition has arrived at Carter Volkswagen. This four-door hatchback seats up to five passengers and has an interior volume of 116.3 cubic feet.

The 2.0L engine found in the 2019 Golf GTI can be paired with either a seven-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the standard features found in all 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI models, the Rabbit Edition trim adds several optional features. SOC 1 vs. SOC 2 Audit Overview Now Available for Download from NDNB, North America’s Leading Provider of SOC Reports

The SOC 1 vs. SOC 2 discussion is well under way, thanks in large part to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) launch of their new System and Organization Controls (SOC) platform, known as the SOC framework. Officially, SOC used to stand for "Service Organization Control", which allows qualified practitioners (i.e., licensed and registered Certified Public Accountants) to issue SOC 1, SOC 2, and/or SOC 3 reports.

Here's some important things you need to know regarding SOC 1 vs SOC 2:

1. SOC 1 SSAE 18 audits are to be performed on service organizations exhibiting a true nexus to the ICFR Concept – Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting.
2. SOC 1 reports are generally issued on financial institutions, such as banks, actuarial, TPA's, trust & benefits organizations, and others.
3. SOC 2 reports are generally issued on technology companies, such as SaaS vendors, data centers, managed security services (MSS) providers, and others.
4. SOC 2 audits are fast outpacing SOC 1 audits in terms of the number of reports being issued each year.
5. NDNB offers industry leading SOC Information Security Policy Templates for rapid compliance for both SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits.

Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center Site of South Mountain Power of the Partnership Breakfast

The new Franklin County 11/30 Visitor Center was the site of the 8th Annual "Power of the Partnership" breakfast, coordinated by the South Mountain Partnership in early February. Franklin County Commissioners David Keller, Robert Thomas, and Robert Ziobrowski welcomed over 130 attendees from Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York Counties, highlighting the historic, agricultural, and recreational value of the county they represent.

The South Mountain Partnership is one of seven landscape initiatives in Pennsylvania, which support investment and action around sustainability, conservation, community revitalization, and recreational projects. Cindy Dunn, Secretary of PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), spoke to the value of the state's conservation landscape efforts and the success of the South Mountain Partnership (SMP), often a model of the effort.

Suzanne Dixon, CEO and President of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), shared ATC's new initiative--the Wild East. The Wild East brings greater attention to the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) and the lands surrounding the 2,192-mile footpath. Both the Wild East and South Mountain landscapes are efforts to secure access to open, natural spaces and the historic, cultural, and aesthetic assets they bring.

The breakfast program focused on profiles of action along the South Mountain landscape, including Franklin County's collective actions to oppose a 230KV, double line transmission project, proposed by Transource PA and slated to traverse more than 29 miles of the county. Speaking were Lori Rice of the Franklin County Stop Transource community group. Lori, a business owner and farm wife, discussed the impacts on the watershed, karst system, agricultural land, and the community culture of Franklin County. Mike Ross, president of Franklin County Area Development Corporation, addressed Franklin County's balanced approach to development and the reasons FCADC did not support the project, noting the county approach to economic development and citing the zero-value of the project to PA.

The South Mountain Partnership awarded six 2018 Mini Grants, totaling $50,000. The grant program commenced in 2009 and has supported more than 60 projects, awarding $440,000 in funds and leveraging just under $900,000 in matching investment.

Mike Eschenmann, DCNR Internal Lead of South Mountain Partnership, awarded Karen Lutz, recently retired as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of ATC, with the 'Spirit of South Mountain' award. The award recognized Lutz's long-standing efforts to advance the Partnership.

"Throughout our 13-year history, SMP has consistently relied on diverse partners to be the 'Power' that positively impacts the South Mountain landscape of Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York Counties. The gathering is invaluable as the region seeks to better conserve and manage agricultural, natural, recreational, and historical assets," said Katie Hess, director of South Mountain Partnership. Read this for more information.

The Franklin County Visitors Bureau invites all to explore history, arts and architecture, recreation, natural beauty, fresh foods and the warm hospitality of communities like Chambersburg, Greencastle, Mercersburg, Shippensburg, and Waynesboro. Franklin County PA is located just north of the Mason Dixon Line and is an easy drive to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. Plan a visit at ExploreFranklinCountyPA.com, contacting 866.646.8060, or stopping by the new Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center in downtown Chambersburg.

AdventHealth Tampa Leads First National Research on Female Heart Disease

Heart disease is the number one killer of men and women, claiming over 600,000 lives each year in the U.S. In women particularly, there is still a lot unknown. AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, part of AdventHealth Tampa, is championing a new trial called the WARRIOR Trial. It is the nation's first large, randomized controlled research study for the ongoing issue of women who have chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease but no significant blockage on testing. Research has found that many such women are often released from cardiology care untreated, but those same women have very high rates of stroke, heart failure and death.

The WARRIOR Trial will look at women 40 and older who have shown signs of coronary heart disease and exhibit symptoms such as chest pains and shortness of breath, but do not have artery blockage present in tests.

"The WARRIOR Trial could be a game changer for how we diagnose and treat women with certain types of heart disease," said Dr. Charles Lambert, Medical Director of AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute and Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute. "What we learn here could ultimately provide guidelines for treatment of women without obstructive coronary disease and save many lives."

The WARRIOR Trial will study both lifestyle changes, and intensive treatment with medications such as statins, ACE inhibitors, PCSK9 inhibitors, and aspirin.

"AdventHealth Tampa is committed to pioneering leading-edge research and we are currently the first and only site of national trials for heart disease," said Brian Adams, President and CEO, AdventHealth Tampa. "We are dedicated to finding ways for people in our communities, and across the country, lead longer, healthier lives."

AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute is currently accepting women to join the trial. Interested participants can call 813-610-8110 to find out if they qualify. For full details on the trial, please click here.
