"At 4 Eco Services, we love giving back to our local community," said Jeremy Prevost, CEO of 4 Eco Services. "That is why we are so proud of all the work our charity division, 4 Eco Cares, has recently completed."

4 Eco Cares is committed to finding and supporting local charities and fundraising events that help adults, children and animals throughout the greater Kansas City area. Six years ago, the division started the annual Hoops 4 Hounds event, which raises funds in conjunction with the NCAA Big 12 men's basketball tournament. Over the years, this event has raised thousands of dollars to help the KC Pet Project. The company's most recent donation of $500 was made to show their continued support of the non-profit organization.

"Charities that help animals in need are very close to our hearts at 4 Eco Services," said Prevost. "Once we became involved with the KC Pet Project, we knew we had found a great partner who was doing incredible things in the Kansas City community. This latest donation was just one more way to support a wonderful local cause."

Most of the funds that go to the KC Pet Project are put toward their continued operation of the Missouri Animal Shelter. The shelter is the largest open-admission, no-kill animal shelter in the Kansas City area, with more than 10,000 animals coming through the facility every year. Animals are treated and cared for until they are adopted. The KC Pet Project's main objectives are to save homeless animals and help them find loving homes.

"We're proud to be supporters of the KC Pet Project and everything they do for our local community," said Prevost. "This organization represents what 4 Eco Cares is all about." Be alert to the latest news.

Turner Selected to Build FC Cincinnati Stadium

Turner is pleased to announce that FC Cincinnati has selected the firm to manage construction of a new Major League Soccer stadium. "We are pleased and honored to be a part of this transformative project," said Turner Vice President and General Manager David Spaulding, noting that the team currently plays at the University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium, where Turner recently completed a major renovation and expansion of the facilities. "Our efforts will be focused on not only constructing a state-of-the-art stadium for this incredible team and their fans, but also creating opportunities and an environment for community engagement and involvement."

Spaulding also noted that Turner has managed construction of more than 450 sports projects, including nearly half of all current Major League Soccer stadiums.

"We're thrilled to secure all four of these companies for our MLS stadium project," said FC Cincinnati President and General Manager Jeff Berding, referring to Turner, designer MEIS, entertainment venue developer Machete Group, and financing supporter U.S. Bank. "On the design and construction side, we had several strong options in each area. However, MEIS and Turner are trend-setters and have led the recent movement toward fan-centered facilities. To have two of the industry's top firms joining forces to work on our MLS stadium is really exciting. Not only do they each bring experience creating iconic stadiums, they also have extensive experience working together on the same projects to build some of the greatest venues in our sport.

Among Turner's MLS stadium projects are CenturyLink Field (Seattle), Toyota Park (Chicago), Providence Park (Portland), Yankee Stadium (New York FC), Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Commerce City, Colorado), Rio Tinto Stadium (Salt Lake City), and Sporting Park (Kansas City).

Attorney Kathryn T. Joseph Educates People on How to Handle a Deceased Loved One’s Affairs

Death is an inevitable part of life. "After a loved one passes we need to grieve," said attorney Kathryn T. Joseph, founder of Kathryn T. Joseph & Associates. "However, we must also take care of their affairs."

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/aixswiss-bringing-five-unique-nupure.html

To educate people on what to do following the passing of a loved one, Joseph, who has been appointed by the Cuyahoga County Probate Court to serve as guardian or conservator of the person and estate for more than 200 individuals whom the Probate Court has determined to have become unable to handle their own affairs, lists the following ten tips.

No. 1: Address the funeral arrangements first. "See if the decedent has any written funeral declarations setting forth his or her wishes," advised Joseph.

No. 2: Secure the house and other property. This is imperative.

No. 3: Allow yourself a period to grieve. "Don't worry about paying the bills, transferring assets or opening an estate until burial and funeral services are complete," added Joseph.

No. 4: Look for the original Will and Trust documents.

No. 5: Collect bills, bank statements, tax returns if they can be located.

No. 6: Contact an attorney. "This is essential in determining whether or not an estate needs to be opened," stressed Joseph. "If assets were held jointly or if assets had a beneficiary, it is not necessary to probate the estate. The assets can be transferred directly to the co-owner or beneficiary without probate court intervention. Usually, a certified death certificate needs to be presented in order to release the funds to the joint owner or beneficiary."

No. 7: If an estate is opened, there is a period of time in which creditors can assert claims. These claims need to be evaluated and either paid or rejected by the administrator or executor of the estate. Click here to read the latest news.

No. 8: Contact an accountant to determine if final federal, state and locate tax returns need to be filed for the decedent. "If there is income earned on the assets after death, estate income tax returns may need to be filed as well," stated Joseph.

No. 9: If an estate is opened, the legitimate bills, estate administration expenses, and taxes must be paid first before distribution to the beneficiaries.

No. 10: Determine assets. "If there are not enough estate assets to pay all bills, expenses, and taxes, the estate is considered insolvent and a proceeding to determine the order of payment of debts must be held by the Probate Court," concluded Joseph.

As darkness approaches in the evening, the town of Chambersburg transforms into 1864! The town's ransoming, burning and rebirth history comes to life during 1864: The Burning. On July 30, 1864, Confederates demanded a ransom of $100,000 in gold or $500,000 in Yankee dollars or Chambersburg would be burned. The town was unable and unwilling to deliver the money, and the center of Chambersburg was fired. More than 2000 people were homeless and over 550 structures burned. Yet, the town returned, stronger than ever, and this is the basis of the annual celebration. It is a tribute to the strength of people and community. This event is filled with incredible light and atmospheric effects! It's hard to believe it's not actually ablaze! As the Confederate soldiers arrive, stay alert, as they will attempt to collect ransom money from within the crowd. All money collected will be donated to Franklin County Habitat for Humanity.

Award-Winning California Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Heather Furnas, Offers Comprehensive Assessment of Gender Inequality In Plastic Surgery

Heather Furnas, MD, founder of northern California's Plastic Surgery Associates, is excited to share her newly published article, Gender Inequality for Women in Plastic Surgery: A Systematic Scoping Review. Sorting through decades of research, Dr. Furnas and a team of authors have been able to highlight the disparities between men and women working in the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Furnas' article was part of the June 2018 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: The Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Experiencing the recent shift of attention toward the underrepresentation of women in the field of plastic surgery, Dr. Furnas, along with several other experts in the field, set out to present an account of related issue in a series for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The milieu of contributing authors included Alexandra Bucknor MBBS, MRCS, M.Sc; Parisa Kamsli MD; Nicole Phillips MD; Irene Mathijssen MD, PhD; Hinne Rakhorst MD, PhD and Samuel Lin, MD, MBA. Dr. Furnas and team made the determination that a comprehensive review of literature is warranted as the information on this topic is disproportionately lacking.

Read related news here.:

https://jessicapressreleases.blogspot.com/2018/05/netnumber-expands-number-portability.html

To complete the systematic scoping review, Dr. Furnas scanned over 2,247 articles between 2016 through January 2017. Using established scoping review protocol, Dr. Furnas and team narrowed their research to 55 articles. Inclusion criteria included identification of the research question, relevant studies, study selection, data charting and the collation of results. The prime origin of these articles included the United States, Austria, France, Italy, Canada and Nigeria. The research compiled on the various articles focused on eight themes:

Dr. Furnas' scoping review is the first comprehensive assessment of the literature available on issues of women in plastic surgery. Results of this assessment shows that academic plastic surgeons are less frequently female, and that women often score less favorably when outcomes of academic success are evaluated. While overt discrimination is shied away from, the implicit bias is easily seen.

With the results from her scoping review, Dr. Furnas provides a series of tactics to increase diversity and retain women in the field of plastic surgery. Her suggestions include developing mentoring programs, assigning one person to the increase of diversity, carefully reading and writing references letters with thought to content, engaging equally with both men and women, avoiding gender-loaded terms, diversity on committees, basing promotions on the quality of research never quantity and welcoming plastic surgeon mothers. Dr. Furnas also points to areas warranting further research, the need for a large-scale analysis of gender bias and discrimination, the development of centralized pathways for workforce data collection, and a focused assessment of women as leaders in plastic surgery.

ABOUT DR. HEATHER FURNAS

Dr. Furnas is a board certified plastic surgeon, receiving her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University and her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. After finishing a highly competitive plastic surgery residency at Stanford, Dr. Furnas was appointed to the plastic surgery faculty at Harvard Medical School while serving on the staff at Beth Israel Hospital. In 1992, Dr. Furnas returned to California, co-founding Plastic Surgery Associates with her husband, Francisco Canales, MD. To meet the their patient's desires for innovative noninvasive treatments, the surgeons opened Allegro MedSpa, adjacent to the Plastic Surgery Associates offices in Santa Rosa and Novato. Dr. Furnas is an avid educator, researcher and lecturer, presenting at plastic surgery conferences around the world. Dr. Furnas' research has earned her the highly distinguished Tiffany Award for best scientific presentation, presented by the Aesthetic Society Board of Directors and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation.

Dr. Furnas' full article, Gender Inequality for Women in Plastic Surgery: A Systematic Scoping Review, can be found online at Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Please contact Plastic Surgery Associates at 707.537.2111 for additional information on Dr. Furnas or Dr. Canales. Our patient coordinator will be happy to assist in scheduling an in-person or virtual consultation, as well as provide travel recommendations to Plastic Surgery Associates, located within California's wine country.
