Pixel Film Studios Releases ProZoom Highlight for Final Cut Pro X

ProZoom Highlight is a set of zooming tools created exclusively for Final Cut Pro X. Use ProZoom Highlight to quickly zoom into an area and highlight a subjects, objects, and text with incredible ease by isolating the area and adjusting the contrast between the cut-out and background layers. This plugin is the perfect complement for documentaries and explanation videos.

ProZoom Highlight enables users to highlight characters, text, and small objects within Final Cut Pro X with incredible ease. Simply place a preset above an image in the timeline, then use the built-in masking tool to draw a mask around the subject that will be highlighted. Then use background controls to add contrast between the layers. Lastly, use camera controls to determine the zoom position, ProZoom Highlight will do the rest!

ProZoom Highlight features two types of presets with four animation durations: 0.5 seconds, 1.0 seconds, 1.5 seconds, and 2.0 seconds. "Zoom In, Hold" presets will instantly zoom to a position, then hold its position for the remainder of the title preset's duration. The "Zoom In, Hold, Zoom Out" preset will animate the same way but zoom back out after holding. Both types of presets can be stretched limitlessly to extend the duration of the on-screen hold time. ProZoom Highlight also features a built-in masking tool. To use the masking tool, start by clicking around the subject and completing the mask. Double-click the line to add a point. Double-click a point to change its curvature. Command + double-click on a point to delete it. With these simple controls, the user can refine the cut-out selection.

The background controls featured in this plugin allow users to achieve the perfect amount of contrast between the subject and its surroundings. Choose to darken and/or blur the background to make the subject-cut out pop on-screen. Lastly, users can add a drop shadow to create a subtle 3D effect to the highlighted area.

Stop the Suffering Increases Number of Dogs Rescued and Transported by 293% Thanks to PEDIGREE Foundation Grant

Hooch, a senior American Pit Bull Terrier mix, is one of 216 lucky dogs that caught a ride to freedom on the new Cleveland expansion leg of the Stop the Suffering rescue transport so far this year. Starting his ride at a southern Ohio shelter, Hooch traveled 260 miles to a partner rescue in Cleveland, Ohio where he will get a new start in life all thanks a PEDIGREE Foundation grant.

"The addition of the Cleveland transport leg has helped our shelter move many more at-risk lives to safe locations where they will receive increased exposure to adoptive homes," says Melissa Nicely, Deputy Warden at Lawrence County Dog Pound. "We are a source shelter receiving preventives and vaccinations, which ensures our dogs are healthier while at the shelter and when arriving at their destination rescues. The ability to offer healthy rural dogs is invaluable to saving more lives."

Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue is among the 12 rescues that participate in the new expansion leg. "Last month we rescued 19 dogs via the transport. Because Stop the Suffering offers this service free of charge, we are able to reallocate transport funds to pull fees, basic vetting and critical care," says Jamie Ternes, Mentor at Paws and Prayers.

Stop the Suffering works to increase the opportunities for southern Ohio, northern Kentucky and West Virginia dogs in Open Admission shelters to make it to rescues. With the addition of this new leg, the transport now moves dogs to more than 55 rescue partners. "We are already seeing dramatic increases in adoption opportunities thanks to our Akron and Cleveland rescue partners," states Lynne Aronson, Director of Stop the Suffering.

Suzhou Tourism Celebrates Another Successful Year of Engaging the North American Market Through Social Media

Suzhou Tourism is pleased to announce that the destination generated more than 25 million social media impressions, engaged with more than 240,000 new consumers, aligned with some of North America's most well-recognized brands, and become the Chinese destination that has the most English-speaking followers on Twitter as part of its "Made in Suzhou" campaign that concluded today. The campaign – which was executed by PHG Consulting, Suzhou Tourism's North American marketing and representation partner – is part of an ongoing program designed to elevate Suzhou's profile as a must-visit destination and drive North American arrivals.

From June 2017 through May 2018, Suzhou Tourism successfully interacted with consumers through a combination of strategic social media channel development, engagement with digital influencers, online contests and sweepstakes, and large-scale offline events. The campaign allowed consumers, the travel trade, key opinion leaders, influencers, and the media to learn about the distinctive offerings that travelers can experience when visiting Suzhou – silk, cuisine, art, and gardens.

Campaign highlights included a four-part master class video series produced by well-known travel personality Kelley Ferro, as well as prominent presence at buzz-worthy consumer-facing events such as Backstage Creations' Gifting Suite™ during the 69th annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, the construction of a Suzhou-style teahouse staffed by destination representatives at Time Warner Center in New York during the busy holiday season, participation in the National Basketball Association's Chinese New Year celebrations through a partnership with the Washington Wizards, and two complimentary bonsai workshops organized in San Francisco as part of the annual Macy's Flower Show.
