The creator of the Edutainment Movement in Spanish programming in United States, Jackeline Cacho in her new autobiography "Mi Mochila Emocional" (My Emotional Backpack), lays bare her personal saga. For years she dealt with debilitating anxiety and panic attacks. She hid her condition from the public during her rise to prominence as a most respected national journalist and successful talk show host.
In her own words, Cacho details how she suffered in silence with this condition and how, armed with courage, determination, and surprising allies, was able to overcome it and transform her life at every stage of her career development. Jackeline bravely shares a detailed narrative, with plenty of anecdotes, about one of the most difficult phases of her life. "This battle forced me to fully evaluate the importance of my life, I believe we all are Spiritual Warriors, we have to find the force that can help us to overcome anything," said Cacho. "I hope that my own experiences will help the millions who suffer every day from anxiety and panic attacks and helps them realize the best roads to treatment and recovery."
In her book, Cacho realizes that she could not have overcome her ordeal without the help and support of her family, specially her mother and very special friends and supporters. Former Mayor of San Antonio and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Henry Cisneros, writes in the book's forward:
"The happy, the difficult and, at times, scary moments in her life have all been turned into invaluable lessons and recounted in Jackeline's honest autobiography, so that we can apply them to today's world. Her story is a narrative of talent, of ambition, of family support, of courage, of determination, of vision and of hard work.
"Jackeline Cacho is an extraordinary human being. We need to be thankful that this multimedia star has chosen to share her ups and downs and ideologies with us in writing.
