Emma of Girl Pow-R Recently Released a New Original Song, "Rising Up"

Emma, who has been a member of the pop supergroup Girl Pow-R since early 2018, recently launched her newest original song "Rising Up". Click here to read the latest news.

Emma has released numerous covers as studio recordings, in addition to this newest single, with songs such as "Warrior" by Demi Lovato and "Nights Like This" by Kehlani ft. Ty Dolla $ign.

She is passionate about Girl Pow-R because it not only brings her joy to sing with other young, creative and dedicated girls, but also the deep friendships and support of the girls she has experienced is important, because friendships help to overcome some of the social issues many kids experience at school. She is not afraid to declare that she suffers from mental illness and depression, and the camaraderie within the group lifts up Emma's self-esteem and confidence to pursue her dreams in music.

Members of Girl Pow-R each focus on various social and advocacy issues, and Emma chooses to talk about mental illness or depression, fighting against stigmas surrounding such topics. She believes that empathy can be the best medicine.

Every Girl Pow-R member also has a social cause and, to give back, Emma helps to support and raise money for Food4Kids. This non-profit charity has a program called Red Backpack that provides healthy daily backpacks of food for kids at school who would not otherwise have a lunch to eat. When school is out, Emma is part of the Food4Kids summer home delivery program where she and her mom deliver weekly food bins to those same families.
