10th Annual Plutus Awards Announces Finalists

Finalists for the 10th Annual Plutus Awards have been announced. This year's finalists represent a wide variety of media, experiences and backgrounds. Additionally, the Plutus Awards has added new categories to continue to reflect the evolving nature of the independent financial media.

"Every year we grow in diversity and inclusion and our community panel makes an effort to ensure that we continue to see a variety of viewpoints represented in the Plutus Awards," said Harlan Landes, the founder of the Plutus Awards and the Plutus Foundation. There will be 31 total categories recognized at the 10th Annual Plutus Awards, three of which will be presented by asset management firm, Capital Group, a Presenting Sponsor of the event, live on September 6, 2019 in Washington, D.C. A full list of finalists can be found on the Plutus Awards website.

One of the most interesting new categories to be added this year is one pushed by members of the Plutus Awards community panel and focuses on those who have impacted the community. Biggest Impact recognizes the work that community members do not only in the independent financial media, but also in their wider communities of influence.

"Some of the best work and some of the best answers to important financial questions are addressed by independent content creators," Landes said. "Over the last 10 years, the Plutus Awards and the recipients of Plutus Awards have been on the front lines of financial education and driving the conversation. We're proud to continue that tradition with the Plutus Foundation and Plutus Voices and hope to present the Plutus Awards for another 10 years."
