Dawn Taylor’s Newly Released “Pei Pei Service Dog Reporting for Duty” Is an Educational Children’s Book About Service Dogs and How to Treat Them

"Pei Pei Service Dog Reporting for Duty": an instructive children's book. "Pei Pei Service Dog Reporting for Duty" is the creation of published author Dawn Taylor, a full-time caregiver for her Army vet husband who has an adopted pug assistant for his PTSD, hearing loss, and Huntington's Disease.

Taylor shares through Pei Pei's eyes, "It's me Pei Pei again. After telling you my story of
how my humans saved me, then how I saved my daddy by becoming a service dog, many questions came up to what I do for my daddy. Well, there are a lot of things I do for my daddy that people do not see, but I will do my best to tell you want I do for my daddy.
To be a certified service dog, I need to do at least twenty tasks specifically for him because of his hearing loss. Those tasks I need to memorize, because I am tested every year and need to pass the test each year in order to continue working and helping
my daddy. If I was to fail at any of those tasks, I would have to go back to school and relearn them. If I fail a second time, I would not be able to help my daddy anymore. The service dog trainers would take my service dog vest and identification card away, so I will not be able to work for my daddy."

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Dawn Taylor's new book is a sensible, compassionate story told through a service dog's point of view.

Though unavoidably bittersweet, children will be inspired by the monumental task these wonderful animals serve so selflessly and will learn to appreciate them even more.
