EagleView Activates Post-Event Drone Capture Following Hurricane Florence

Eagle View Technologies ("EagleView®"), the leading provider of property intelligence for government, insurance and commercial sectors, has collected its first high-resolution aerial images following Hurricane Florence on the East Coast. The imagery offers an in-depth understanding of the destruction seen from a weather-event, such as a hurricane, and reveals details as miniscule as missing roof shingles—information that is critical to EagleView customers following a major storm.

EagleView has activated its EagleView OnSite™ drone network to stage UAS (unmanned aerial system) operators around areas of interest in North and South Carolina. Once activated, EagleView's drone network begins to capture drone imagery of both commercial and residential areas for immediate delivery to customers in insurance, local government and electric utilities. Each of these industries utilize high-resolution post-event imagery to fully understand the damage caused by the weather event and rapidly respond accordingly.

"We have a network of skilled drone operators at the ready for immediate image capture when needed following a storm," said EagleView COO Jay Martin. "This network is a way to ensure that we can quickly respond to our customers whenever and wherever needed without exceptions."

EagleView also offers satellite imagery through its StormAI™ feature in EagleView OnSite, a platform offered to insurance carriers as a way to view early post-event imagery through the lens of Policies in Force (PIF).

"We understand how important it is to our customers that we have an immediate response to natural disasters," stated EagleView CEO Rishi Daga. "We're using satellite, fixed-wing and drone imagery to identify those hard-to-find areas of damage and deliver data to our customers as quickly as possible, which ultimately results in residents returning to their homes faster than anticipated."

EagleView has fixed-wing aircraft staged surrounding the affected areas and ready to capture more high-resolution aerial imagery in the coming days.
