New Fiction Book Imagines a World With Human Dreamcatchers Who Take Away the World’s Nightmares, Fears and Anxieties

Emma Berg has always had nightmares since she was very young and still continues to have them. When she was little, she thought it would be wonderful if there was someone who could fight the bad dreams and let her sleep a full night. What was once a musing almost a decade ago is now Berg's debut young adult novel.

"Dreamcatch" chronicles the story of Joseph Archer, who lives a normal life as a live-in servant until he touches the hood of a Catcher named Madeleine. In Berg's world, Catchers are a group of people with the unique ability to catch the nightmares of the public.

When Joseph touches Madeleine's hood, he inherits the powers that Catchers possess, but it comes with a caveat, he soon learns.

Madeleine and Joseph travel together to learn the Catcher's trade and along the way he learns why Madeleine is desperately trying to find a cure for being a Catcher.

"Both characters deal with common coming-of-age dilemmas such as finding one's purpose or choosing to pursue other purposes when one doesn't work out," Berg said. "Readers can find themselves in Madeleine or Joseph because it may inspire them to examine what they believe is their purpose for their own lives and the possibility of where life can lead them."

In "Dreamcatch," readers can follow along with Madeleine and Joseph as they conquer the thrilling but complex world of being a Catcher, nightmares and all.

Salinas Toyota Breaks Down Differences Between Two Toyota SUVs

Salinas Toyota is educating the local community about the differences between the 2018 4Runner and the 2018 Highlander. Both vehicles are midsize SUVs offered in six trim levels and have similar exterior dimensions. However, differences in utility, cabin space and seating do exist.

The primary difference between these two SUVs is the intent of their design. The 2018 Toyota 4Runner is built with off-road travel and performance as its primary focus, while the 2018 Toyota Highlander emphasizes comfort and fuel efficiency. The 2018 4Runner offers an available multi-terrain driving mode that optimizes its off-road capabilities, while the 2018 Highlander's optional all-wheel drive system is meant for keeping stable on wet or icy roads.

When it comes to cabin space, the 2018 4Runner and the 2018 Highlander prioritize different areas. Overall, the 2018 Highlander offers more in terms of interior volume, offering 156 cubic feet compared to the 2018 4Runner's 144.5 cubic feet. However, the 2018 4Runner's design has more internal space than the 2018 Highlander for hauling cargo. The 2018 4Runner has a maximum cargo capacity of 89.7 cubic feet, while the 2018 Highlander's maximum cargo capacity is 83.2 cubic feet.

October 2018 marks 10 years since Spotify officially launched to music fans and is officially recognizing this 10 year milestone with "Decade of Discovery", a campaign that for the first time, takes a decade-long look at some of the biggest discoveries in music as told through the lens of Spotify via artist and fan insights. Spotify also did an assessment of "listening diversity," or the number of artists the average user streams per month, which has risen on Spotify over the past 10 years at an average of about 8 percent per year. In the past three years alone, listening diversity increased about 40 percent on the strength of new personalized and editorial playlists—meaning people are listening to an increased number of artists on a regular basis.
