In 2012, Cruttenden moved to SMR7, a world leader in retail merchandising software, where he served in a global role developing client relationships and new business opportunities. He also previously served as a board director for the World Alliance For Retail Excellence & Standards, a part of the Shop! Midford also notes that the growth in traditional retail is due to online retailers opening physical stores to support their brands. He cites online companies like The White Company, which has grown from its first store on Symons Street in London in 2000 to now having 59 locations across the U.K., as the kind of rapid growth that requires improved execution and access to tools for providing an excellent in-store experience, both of which are cornerstones of the Natural Insight platform.

Since launching in 2003, Natural Insight's platform has enabled brands to collect more than one billion data points to manage retail conditions, successfully managed millions of workforce assignments at more than 180,000 locations worldwide, and uploaded more than one million photos to visually verify completed work. In 2017, over 80,000 workers across the retail ecosystem earned more than $220 million by completing work assignments managed in the Natural Insight platform.

A Mobile App Called 'Tactical NAV' is Being Used in the Fight Against ISIS in Syria and Iraq

A mobile application openly available on Apple's App Store is being used by U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq to conduct both field artillery and close air support operations against ISIS combatants with resounding success.

The application is called Tactical NAV, and it's available on the iTunes App Store, and was created by a former U.S. Army captain who used his own life savings to build a low cost and accurate software solution to provide Soldiers and military service members the tools needed to help accomplish their mission at home and abroad, and also protect and save U.S. military lives in the combat environment. Click here to read the latest news.

"Tactical NAV simply works. Over 100,000 military warfighters are using the app today, and it's extremely accurate and effective. I'm humbled and grateful that my fellow warfighters are trusting the app and that it's potentially saving our Soldiers' lives," said Jonathan J. Springer, Tactical NAV's creator.

Taken from an email Springer received from a Soldier based in Syria, it states, "I love this app [Tactical NAV] -- we all do. We were able to shoot with our M109A6 Paladin using Tactical NAV, and the results were steel on steel. The app is accurate to within 1 meter, all verified by Army survey. Thanks for what you're doing Jonathan, this thing is a lifesaver," said the Soldier, whose name is being withheld for operational security measures.

"Since day one, I have always believed the military could utilize smartphones for operational purposes," said Springer. "I always saw mobile devices as a combat multiplier that could potentially assist military service members during combat operations, and in turn, possibly save their lives in the process."

He goes on to say, "Why not use what is at our fingertips to operate more efficiently as a military force," said Springer. "The potential for saving lives using something as cost-effective as an app like Tactical NAV just makes sense."

Tactical NAV is currently available on the App Store and will soon be available on Google Play. The app assists military service members and first responders with mapping, plotting, and sharing waypoints and location information, along with building overlays and synchronizing assets with other users on the battlefield. Read this here.

The application is a military-quality software solution that meets the World Geodetic System 1984 standard (WGS 84) and has been tested on various combat missions to ensure the utmost accuracy and reliability that a military-oriented app can, and should, provide.

"Tactical NAV is just as accurate as anything the Pentagon has in their arsenal today. And it does many of the same functions that the Department of Defense spends millions of dollars on -- all at a fraction of the cost. And it's all about protecting the warfighter because when it comes down to it, that's what it's all about," Springer said.

Hydro Engineering Inc Produces a Quick, Deployable Equipment Wash Rack

Newly designed trailer mounted equipment washing and decontamination system from Hydro Engineering, Inc. integrates on board water storage, high pressure hot water cleaning, wash water recovery, water filtration and recycled water retention tanks into a simple to deploy and operate system.

The trailer mounted diesel engine powered Hydroblaster includes: fresh water carrying capacity of 850 gallons, filtered and recycled water capacity of 650 gallons, oil water separation, solids filtration to 5 microns, easy access drains, complete freeze protection for all tanks and pumping systems, lockable system enclosure, Hydromat portable wastewater collection mat with shield strips.

Capturing wastewater from equipment washing or recovery of disinfectant and/or seed sterilant solutions used in decontamination and agricultural seed control are widely accepted applications for Hydro Engineering's Hydromat. The Hydromat is quickly deployed to create a fluid containment wash pad where fluids can be collected and then filtered and recycled for continuous use.

Hydromat is constructed using heavy weight (35 ounce) vinyl coated fabric that makes it tough and resistant to tearing and abrasion. The perimeter water retention air berm is quickly inflated with a battery powered rechargeable air pump. A surface level fluid skimming pump is placed in a low spot that serves as the fluid collection point.  Fluid is pumped back to the Hydroblaster for filtration and recycling through the wash process.

Hydromat life expectancy is significantly improved with the addition of abrasion resistant Hydromat shield strips that protect fabric from punctures or tears.  Shield strips are placed under and over Hydromat through vehicle track lanes to meet load requirement from trucks to heavy rubber tracked vehicles.

To extend deployment intervals the Hydroblaster fluid source can be toggled between filtered recycled wash water for washing and fresh water for final equipment rinsing.
