Millennials would trade brunch for travel, according to a new study commissioned by HomeAway® a site for renting beach houses, cabins, condos and more worldwide. The Ipsos poll found that 93 percent of millennials value trips with friends over bottomless mimosas and avocado toast.

The HomeAway Brunch Index compares the average cost of brunch ($34) with the average per person cost of renting a vacation home for a weekend stay in various destinations. Why a weekend away? The same survey revealed that nearly half (46 percent) of millennials typically spend two to three nights away with friends. And millennials are choosing to travel with friends over family: 72 percent plan to vacation with friends in the next 12 months, while only 48 percent plan to vacation with family. These are the findings from an Ipsos poll conducted June 5 – 14, 2018 on behalf of HomeAway. For the survey, a sample of 1,087 adults ages 18 - 34 from the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii was interviewed online, in English. To qualify for the survey, respondents had to have gone on vacation with friends in the past year and/or be planning to go on vacation with friends in the next 12 months. The precision of Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll has a credibility interval of ±3.4 percentage points for all respondents surveyed.

A prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) is an electronic database that tracks controlled substance prescriptions in a state. PDMPs can provide health authorities timely information about prescribing and patient behaviors that contribute to the prescription drug or opioid epidemic currently playing out in this country.

Accessing PDMP information can be complex and time consuming for hospices. Delta Care Rx has recently armed hospice clients with an easy to implement program that fits inside of existing workflow, called PDM-Pal©, which allows for total simplification and streamlining of any state mandated participation. Bridging the Digital Divide: Tech in the Tenderloin Announces 2nd Annual Tech Festival

Tech in the Tenderloin, a nonprofit focused on bringing high-opportunity technology to low-opportunity youth, announces its 2nd Annual Tech Festival. The Festival is being held at The Salvation Army's Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, from 1-7 pm on June 29th, 2018. Tech in the Tenderloin is pleased to host the upcoming Tech Festival in collaboration with The Salvation Army as part of the Kroc Center's 10th Anniversary Celebration.

The Festival will bring together over 20 San Francisco Bay Area tech companies and community nonprofits for an afternoon of fun, food and festivities, with a goal to expose over 200+ youth and families to emerging technologies like AR and VR, 3D modeling, STEAM, electronic textiles and of course, carnival games!
