Seminole Resident Liz Barlowe Steps Up to Lead the Aging Life Care Association® in its 35th Year

Liz Barlowe, MA, CMC was recently elected as President of the Aging Life Care Association® Board of Directors (ALCA). Aging Life Care Professionals® have advanced degrees and are experts in health and human services. They assess the needs of older adults and the disabled, and work with the family to provide recommendations for needed goods and services to enhance quality of life, health advocacy, and appropriate housing and care needs. They assist families with the myriad of considerations through cost-effective strategies and superior service.

As a member of ALCA, Ms. Barlowe adheres to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics developed by the association and its members to ensure public accountability. Barlowe has been practicing as an Aging Life Care Professional® since 2000. "I am proud to lead the Association that defines excellence in my profession and is dedicated to education, professional development, and the highest ethical standards," said Barlowe. "We will continue to broaden our footprint in the aging industry; assist families who are experiencing the most challenging time of their lives; and help baby boomers plan for a more successful aging journey."

Recognizing a connection with older adults at an early age, Barlowe has spent her career improving the lives of seniors and supporting their families. Her depth of experience with management of traditional assisted living facilities and those serving individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias; home health; community mental health; senior services, and non-profits inform her leadership to address this growing industry. Barlowe holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a master's degree in Gerontology. Read related news now.
