The Exceptional Women Awardees Foundation (EWA, Los Angeles CA) today announced that after interviews with multiple candidates, Nancy Asakura, Tax Managing Director, KPMG has been selected to participate in their Cohort of Women Leaders in the January 2020 EWA Program.
"Nancy Asakura is a well respected member of the Tax group at KPMG as well as being an active member of the KPMG KNOW Board (KPMG Network of Women). There are only 2 working mothers at the senior manager level in her group and with two young children, Nancy has been highly successful as a leader at KPMG as well as balancing her important role as a mother. She reaches for challenges with courage and excitement and does not see barriers, only opportunities. The EWA program is holistic and looks at the whole executive in her many roles so we are excited to welcome Nancy into our program,'" commented Larraine Segil, Chair and CEO of EWA.
"Nancy has become a leader within the Business Tax Services practice with her unwavering commitment to her clients and team. She is equally committed and focused on being a strong advocate for diversity in the workplace, and advancing the roles and careers of women across all industries," said Mark Hutchins, KPMG, Los Angeles Office Managing Partner. "Her greatest asset is to inspire others to take charge of their careers, and make a positive contribution to the community in which they live and work."
