Panama Joins Helen Doron Global Franchise Network

The Helen Doron educational franchise community recently welcomed its newest members, Mr. Nelson Guardia and Mrs. Juliana Liu of Panama. Mr. Guardia, an industrial engineer in the field of logistics and his wife, Mrs. Liu, a business and marketing professional, looked for a business which would enhance the lives of the children in their community.

Juliana, a native from Brazil and Nelson, a native from Panama, met while studying in the United States. "We got married there and worked in corporate jobs in New Jersey and New York, before deciding to move to Panama where we both continued working for multinational companies." Nelson recalls. "We have two children now and as their parents, we have always been very involved in their education and their activities. We learned of Helen Doron while researching business opportunities in the education field and were impressed with its methodology and product offerings. We saw there was an opportunity to bring it to our market and decided to buy the franchise for Panama".     Read latest news here.

He elaborates further on reasons for making this move to empower Panama's children. "Unfortunately, Panama scores very low on international English assessments tests. Children receive English classes starting from elementary school, but quality varies greatly depending on the school. What is important is not only to have a basic understanding of English, but to let the children become truly comfortable with the language, so they can speak it as if it was their native language."

Juliana adds: "English is the global language to conduct business and Helen Doron contributes to making a difference in children's lives by helping them grow to become skillful and successful citizens of the international future society. We believe children's education is the most rewarding field and Helen Doron presented a proven business model in this field, that we believe fits nicely into our market." Read related news here.

The first Helen Doron English learning centre will be launched in Panama City April 2020, and a second one is planned later that year or early 2021. Additional centres will be added in additional locations within the next five years "so that as many children as possible can benefit from the Helen Doron methodology." Guardia concludes.

More Than a Business. A Way of Life.
Awarded as the Best Children and Education Franchise in 2019, Helen Doron Educational Group was founded in 1985 to teach children English as a Foreign Language and has more than 1,000 learning centres and kindergartens in 38 countries. Helen Doron's innovative and proven methodology is the creative inspiration behind the company's flagship franchise, Helen Doron English, together with Helen Doron Kindergartens, MathRiders, and Ready Steady Move! To date, the Group has taught nearly three million children to speak English, master maths, experience nature, and learn through movement. The network is rapidly expanding, while maintaining its core values and community spirit, combined with business success. We seek additional franchisees to penetrate new markets and business partners to expand its rich educational content and continue breaking new boundaries in children's education.
