techfrederick is pleased to announce that Amy Pontius has been appointed the organization's Executive Director. techfrederick is a non-profit dedicated to highlighting, supporting and developing Frederick's tech community.

Amy was hired two years ago as techfrederick's Operations Coordinator and has since helped to grow the organization's operations, their networking events program, and the region's premiere professional team-building event, techfrederick Games.
"techfrederick is excited to have Amy step into this role to continue to move the organization forward and upward. We have some impactful initiatives beginning in 2020 and we know that Amy's experience and heart for the community will help us to usher them in successfully," said Scott Ryser, President of the Board.
Born and raised in Frederick, Amy spent the 15 years after college living in different areas of the country and abroad before returning to Frederick in 2013.
"I have always loved Frederick and its residents' unique desire to be in community with each other. Experiencing so many other cities and cultures throughout the world, I have an even deeper appreciation for what is happening in Frederick. I derive great joy from being a part of what techfrederick is doing here to strengthen and develop the thriving tech community through relationship and engagement," said Amy.
