About the author
Carl Luepnitz was raised on his family's farm in Northern Michigan. He finished high school as valedictorian before obtaining his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and master's from the University of Alabama. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. After serving twenty-six years in the Army, he retired a full colonel.
