What’s New In Brisbane, Australia from Tourism and Events Queensland

With new hotel and resort openings, extensive development projects and unique new attractions and experiences, Brisbane has made a name for itself as one of the most exciting destinations to visit in 2019. In recent years Brisbane has experienced a cultural revival, putting it on the map as a dynamic, 'must-visit' area of Queensland. W Hotel – Brisbane – June 2018
The highly-anticipated W Hotel launched June 2018 on Brisbane's legendary George Street overlooking the city's iconic river. Bringing bold design and playful luxury to the western end of the central business district, W Brisbane redefines the city's hospitality. The six-star hotel features 312 guestrooms with custom furnishings and interiors inspired by its Queensland locale and the hotel's design narrative, A River Dreaming' with stellar views of the iconic Brisbane River. Sanctuary by Sirromet – Mount Cotton – Summer 2018
For an ideal wine country getaway just 30 minutes outside Brisbane, Queensland's largest and most awarded winery, Sirromet Winery, recently launched 18 self-contained glamping tents on their 560-acre property at Mount Cotton. Aptly named Sanctuary by Sirromet, the silk-lined luxurious tents enable guests to connect with nature in a tranquil bushland setting while surrounded by local wildlife roaming the grounds. Each tented pavilion includes a king bed with luxury linens, air conditioning, an en suite bathroom and private balcony which appears to "float" above the landscape, offering stunning views over the canopy of paperbark trees, giant scribble gums and the lake. Guests also have direct access to Sirromet Winery where they can enjoy award-winning wines and dine on fresh, locally sourced produce from one of winery's three restaurants.

Mapleton Springs B&B – Sunshine Coast – Summer 2018
This new offering in the Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Mapleton offers guests expansive views over rolling hills, an infinity pool, a spa and sauna and a delicious cooked breakfast daily. During the cooler months guests can sit by the open fire in the lounge room or enjoy a movie in the cinema room. The owners of the B&B also care for animals, so guests will often find rescue joeys, as well as an abundance of local wildlife around the property.

The Ruby Collection – Gold Coast – November 2018
Newly opened, the Ruby Collection is a series of family holiday apartments that are raising family accommodation standards on the Gold Coast. The Curated Plate – Sunshine Coast – August 2019
This new four-day food festival is set to debut August 8-11, 2019 on the Sunshine Coast and will celebrate the region's finest produce with the best chefs in the Australian and international dining scene.
