CloudLanes, a Microsoft Ventures and Cervin Ventures portfolio company, demonstrated with Veeam large scale backups to Microsoft Azure in a seamless, safe and secure manner.
Asif Moinuddin, CEO of CloudLanes, said, "Enterprise customers with larger data sets are demanding a more robust and scaled out solution with enhanced security and data integrity capabilities. There is a need for a solution that seamlessly combines online cloud migration with offline bulk move of data to the cloud."
Ray Rodriguez from San Diego State University (SDSU) has been looking forward to solving the challenge of moving both his Veeam backups and video surveillance data to the cloud in a cost effective manner. "By leveraging the CloudLanes and offline ingest using Microsoft Azure Data Box we can now cost effectively bulk transport data to Azure. The enhanced security capabilities gives us peace of mind that video surveillance data is guarded with CloudLanes' enhanced security approach," said Ray.
"CloudLanes' interoperability with Azure Data Box allows customers to write data across multiple units as one cohesive solution. This, coupled with end-to-end chain of custody and data verification means customers can have confidence that their entire data set is intact and secure," said Vijay Ramaswamy, VP of Products & Marketing.
Dean Paron, Director, Azure Data Box, Microsoft Corp. said, "Customers often have huge data sets, crossing into petabytes. CloudLanes makes it easy for customers to span large data transport jobs across multiple Data Boxes for a smooth migration to Microsoft Azure."
