Clay & Associates DDS, PLC Now Provides Same-Day Dentistry Service For Dental Patients

There is nothing more frustrating than having to spend weeks in the process of getting a dental crown. However, thanks to Cerec dentistry, dental patients no longer need to. This advanced computer-aided design and technology and software ensures you can get a dental crown in just one visit at Clay and Associates DDS, PLC.

Here's how the system works. Cerec combines a camera, computer, and milling instrument into one machine allowing tooth retorations to be created in the dental office, all within a single visit. The patient's tooth is prepared for restoration. The Cerec software takes a digital photo of the treatment area and the technology converts the image into a 3D virtual model. With input from the dentist, the software creates the final restoration. The milling instrument precisely carves a ceramic block into the exact shape and specifications of the restoration. Once the dentist has ensured the restoration fits properly in the patient's mouth, the restoration is polished and bonded to the tooth. The entire process takes no longer than 90 minutes.

Mother-Daughter Game Creators’ Twist on Party Games Is “Unrivaled”

In a thriving, billion-dollar board game industry largely dominated by men, mother Staley Krause and daughter Sawyer Krause-Thompson collaborated to create and write a fresh take on party games with their debut release, Unrivaled.

Unrivaled offers partygoers a unique experience with an added twist: Players guess the winner before each challenge begins, bringing in rivalry from the start. The game stirs up high energy and big laughs with diverse challenges, from push-up contests and delivering monologues to designing new trends and inventing strange cocktails. Players compete in wit and will while also getting to know each other on a whole new level.

"People inherently want to understand and be understood by each other, and I think the Unrivaled game mechanic sets the stage for that." says Krause. "We all know the superficial basics about our friends and acquaintances, so I wanted this game to take things up a notch. All of it is light-hearted and often ridiculous, but the end result, whether people realize it or not, is learning about and sharing with each other."

The mother-daughter duo partnered with illustrator Ping Fah, who created the retro-fresh cover art. Designer Missy Fountain, of the Atlanta-based game publisher Lark & Clam, brought all of the elements together into the package on shelves today. Collectively, these women are unrivaled in their talent and creativity. Unrivaled has been picked up by Target, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Amazon, and can be found in hobby gaming stores across the country.             Be alert to the latest news.

ABOUT UNRIVALED

Counselor Releases Unflinching Guide to Finding Strength Through Stillness, Silence and Gratitude Amidst Life’s Chaos

A licensed professional counselor has released her playfully irreverent guide to overcoming life's challenges, mastering stillness in motion and, ultimately, discovering and becoming one's authentic self. In "Learning to Slow the F*ck Down: And Other Life Lessons," author Erica Mortimer twines her personal stories of growth with her perspective as a seasoned mental health clinician and invites readers to strip away limiting beliefs and negative patterns of thought, empowering them to create for themselves a life they truly love.

"Learning to Slow the F*ck Down" was born out of a desire to help the walking wounded that Mortimer encounters every day, she said. Ultimately, she wanted to provide others with a simple introduction to spiritual concepts and practices, such as being intentional and learning to meditate, while also helping readers to move past the commonly perceived roadblocks and limiting beliefs that prevent them from living their truth. Click here to read the latest news.

"I wrote this book because my journey to mindfulness was not a pretty one," Mortimer said. "Not so long ago, I had someone tell me I needed to slow the f-ck down, and in that moment, I thought I knew what they meant. But I really didn't, and it took me years to figure it out. When I finally understood, I had to call them up and thank them."

An unflinching and deeply personal approach to learning to become more present in an increasingly fast-paced and technology-centric world, "Learning to Slow the F*ck Down" teaches readers how to respond to life rather than react to it, educates them on the joy intention can bring to simple actions, such as eating and conversing with others, and shows them how to celebrate and love the parts of themselves that they struggle with most.

Consumers at Risk: 126% Increase in Exposed Consumer Data, 1.68 Billion Email-Related Credentials

The Identity Theft Resource Center®, a nationally recognized non-profit organization established to support victims of identity crime, and CyberScout®, a full-spectrum identity, privacy and data security services firm, released the 2018 End-of-Year Data Breach Report.

According to the report, the number of U.S. data breaches tracked in 2018 decreased from last year's all-time high of 1,632 breaches by 31 percent (or 1,244 breaches), but the reported number of consumer records exposed containing sensitive personally identifiable information jumped 126 percent from the 197,612,748 records exposed in 2017 to 446,515,334 records this past year.

"The increased exposure of sensitive consumer data is serious," said Eva Velasquez, president and CEO of the Identity Theft Resource Center. "Never has there been more information out there putting consumers in harm's way. ITRC continues to help victims and consumers by providing guidance on the best ways to navigate the dangers of identity theft to which these exposures give rise."

Another critical finding was the number of non-sensitive records compromised, not included in the above totals, an additional 1.68 billion exposed records. While email-related credentials are not considered sensitive personally identifiable information, a majority of consumers use the same username/email and password combinations across multiple platforms creating serious vulnerability. Read all the related news.

"When it comes to cyber hygiene, email continues to be the Achilles Heel for the average consumer," said CyberScout founder and chair, Adam Levin. "There are many strategies consumers can use to minimize their exposure, but the takeaway from this year's report is clear: Breaches are the third certainty in life, and constant vigilance is the only solution." Partner Colorado Credit Union Expands its Use of Alogent’s Remote Deposit Solutions to Address a Growing Merchant Capture Market

Alogent (@AlogentCorp), an innovator in end-to-end enterprise payment processing, content management, and digital banking solutions for financial institutions, announced today that Partner Colorado Credit Union, serving more than 32,000 members, has expanded its use of Alogent's teller and remote deposit software to now include merchant capture. With the growing number of check deposits from the expanding cannabis industry in Colorado, members and businesses banking with Partner Colorado no longer need to visit a branch to complete a transaction, but instead can deposit a check from their storefront at any time. Continue reading.

"Partner Colorado is one of the few financial institutions to have a cannabis banking program to support this growing, and often unbanked industry," said Spencer Guilford, Chief Operations Officer for Partner Colorado Credit Union. "Alogent was already a trusted partner, and expanding our collective footprint into the merchant capture space was a natural next step. With these additional capabilities, we can ensure our members have access to a convenient deposit solution so they don't have to rely on cash or bring payments to a branch."

Alogent's ImagePoint solution for merchant capture enables small- to medium-sized businesses the ability to deposit checks from an office location outside of banking hours by simply using a check scanner. With the added convenience and security of transacting from their storefront, this cost-effective technology enables merchants to more easily manage their receivables.

"Alogent's solutions are designed with our customers and their member-bases in mind," said Jason Schwabline, Alogent's Chief Strategy Officer. "We strive to deliver solutions that fill market gaps, which effectively make our customers more efficient and gain increased automation, allowing them to meet compliance regulations while still gaining flexibility with their deposit-channels."
