blumshapiro’s Vanessa Rossitto Selected as A Recipient of Inaugural Connecticut Society of CPAs Women’s Award

Vanessa Rossitto, CPA, a partner and industry leader of blumshapiro's Government Services Group, has been recognized as one of the Distinguished Service Awardees for the Inaugural Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) Women's Awards. The honor recognizes the many contributions that CPA women professionals are making in Connecticut.

Winners of the inaugural CTCPA Women's Awards were selected in two categories: Distinguished Service and Women to Watch. Nominees for Distinguished Service were scored in several categories including thought leadership, contributions to the profession, community service, mentoring of other professionals and leadership in workplace improvements.

She has played an instrumental role in obtaining and maintaining the Government Finance Officers Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for her clients. Rossitto is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Greater Hartford and Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity, as well as the Accounting Department Advisory Board of Central Connecticut State University and the Board of the Charter Oak State College Foundation.

Rossitto received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University.

The Distinguished Service Awards will be presented at the 2020 CTCPA Women's Awards Breakfast on January 22nd at TPC River Highlands Clubhouse in Cromwell, CT.
