Gyld creates dice designed specifically for Dungeons & Dragons

A set of special dice designed to add style, theme and function to every damage roll in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Sure, any dice will produce the numbers needed, but everyone is pretending to be elves, so aren't aesthetics the whole point?

Damage types in 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons® is a crucial element in the flavor and mechanics of the game.

Damage Dice sets are a simple idea that enhances damage rolls. Generic sets of dice are made to use with a wide spectrum of games: they include only one of most each size, and a percentile set. Damage Dice only include the sizes used for damage in D&D®, have 1-10 dice instead of percentile, come with multiples of each die, and are designed to embody each type of damage. The custom molds and designs depict fire, cold, psychic, force, radiant, necrotic, poison, acid, thunder and lightning damage.

The idea is simple, but the execution is complicated. Just creating the 10 magical damage types requires 50 individual molds, and 400 unique face designs. Glyd worked with Q+M, an agency in Ann Arbor, to make sure each die is unique and adds fun and style to gameplay.

To complete the massive project, Gyld has launched a Kickstarter campaign

The Campaign funded in 3 days, and reached 400% in the first week.
