Trigence was Selected as J-Startup by METI in Japan

Of the 10,000 startups reviewed, 92 startups were selected to participate in the program.

Picture Book Illustrates Determination Through a Three-legged Cat’s Life

Norma Lindsay debuts as a published author with the release of a colorful picture book starring "Pussninks: A Rather EXTRAordinary Cat" (published by Xlibris UK). The book was based on a cat the author had for 20 years.

Pussninks only has three legs, but this does not make him different, and therefore should not be looked upon as such. In spite of being down in the "limb department," he just gets on with the job. He is the epitome of triumph over adversity.

"We live in a very prejudiced society, and this book can hopefully help to alleviate some of this misplaced prejudice," Lindsay expresses.

Through Pussninks' story, Lindsay wishes to impart a message to the readers, young and old, that despite life's challenges, it is possible to achieve anything with determination and perseverance.

Featured this Week on The Jazz Network Worldwide: Ken Greves with his Critically Acclaimed CD, Vintage & Rare: The Songs of Harold Arlen Volume Two

Ken's repertoire spans the Great American Songbook, including such legendary composers as Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Harry Warren, Cole Porter, Vernon Duke, Richard Rodgers, and Stephen Sondheim; also performs great jazz composers such as Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, Dave Frishberg, Sammy Cahn, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Alec Wilder. Another important influence is vocalist Judy Garland. "…she had an uncanny ability to musically shape a song while acting and telling a story," remarked Ken.

Millennials Who Vacation Say They’d Give up Brunch for a Month to Travel With Friends

Millennials would trade brunch for travel, according to a new study commissioned by HomeAway® a site for renting beach houses, cabins, condos and more worldwide. The Ipsos poll found that 93 percent of millennials value trips with friends over bottomless mimosas and avocado toast.

The HomeAway Brunch Index compares the average cost of brunch ($34) with the average per person cost of renting a vacation home for a weekend stay in various destinations. Why a weekend away?
