Life is better with animals, and recently, Airbnb has launched Animal Experiences, allowing us to connect with animals easier than ever before – and set a new standard for animal tourism. Recently, Joe 'Joebot' Zadeh, Vice President and Head of Airbnb Experiences, teamed with YourUpdateTV to discuss the new initiative.

Airbnb is the first major booking platform to offer a dedicated category of animal experiences underpinned by a progressive new animal welfare policy, developed in collaboration with World Animal Protection. These 1000+ activities feature 300 different species around the world and range from a multi-day safari in Africa to an afternoon tea with naughty sheep. They are the antidote to typical animal tourism options that are notorious for ethical concerns.

Animal Experiences are designed to deepen guests' appreciation for animals through the eyes of those who work and live alongside them, and to allow guests to connect with animals in a unique and responsible way.

Some popular examples include, Paddleboard With a Corgi, Kayak With Conservationists, and learning alongside Urban Beekeepers.

Joe "Joebot" Zadeh is the Vice President of Experiences at Airbnb, a business that launched in 2016 to offer travelers unique, one-of-a-kind activities led by extraordinary locals. He has one of the longest tenures at Airbnb, joining the company as the third engineer when the entire product development team worked out of a bedroom in a San Francisco apartment and had a single focus on home-sharing.
