Crowdfunding PR Agency PRmediaNow Works with Clients to Raise more than $14.3 Million on Kickstarter, Indiegogo in 2018

Public relations agency PRmediaNow helped crowdfunding clients raise more than $14 million in 2018 – totaling above $60 million for crowdfunders since 2013. PRmediaNow was also recognized with several PR industry awards for its crowdfunding PR in 2018.

"Our clients raised $4 million more in additional crowdfunding revenue compared to our 2017 numbers, which indicates that crowdfunding continues to offer a viable product launch option for early-stage companies to attract funding to take their products from idea to commercialization," said PRmediaNow Principal Colin Trethewey. "We want to thank our clients for giving us the opportunity to share their innovative product stories with influential media and their respective audiences and followers around the world."

PRmediaNow, which provides non-crowdfunding public relations services as well, has become a leader in crowdfunding PR. The firm worked with nearly 60 crowdfunding clients in 2018. Its top-funded clients in 2018 included the BauBax 2.0 Travel Jacket ($4.3 million), the Plexus Wheel ($1.9 million) and Nomatic Laptop and Messenger Bags ($1.1 million).

PRmediaNow was also recognized for several campaigns by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). It received a 2018 PRestige Award for Best Media Relations Tactics and a 2018 Radiance Award for Best Media Relations Tactics – both for work with the X Suit campaign, which raised more than $360,000 to become the most-funded suit in Kickstarter history in 2017. PRmediaNow also won a 2018 PRestige Award for Best Media Kits for its work on the crowdfunding campaign for Nise Wave Sous Vide, an automated high-tech personal chef that raised $290,000 during crowdfunding in 2017.

In 2018, PRmediaNow continued to work with a wide variety of crowdfunding clients – promoting products ranging from travel accessories, earbuds, audio devices, cameras, apparel, home appliances, tech gadgets and many other innovative products.

"From our experience, we find the most successful crowdfunding campaigns introduce products that solve a common problem for consumers with an innovative solution," Trethewey said. "We also noticed a growing trend of eco-friendly products, from a home hydroponic greenhouse to jackets and other apparel made from recycled and sustainable materials, which are increasingly successful during crowdfunding."
