After 30 years in seclusion, Ted Bosworth's first novel is now available to the public through Amazon and other fine booksellers. Join Miles, Timothy, Marilyn, Stephanie, and Holly as they embark upon their independent quests of self-discovery and adventure. Miles Donnelly's journey begins in the year 1988 and ultimately leads to events that produce unforeseen societal impacts on a global scale. As these separate expeditions intersect across a vast chasm of time, Miles discovers the full extent of the consequences first hand. This coming-of-age love story is a celebration of youth and connection in a time before the World Wide Web and smart phones. It warns against a future of isolationism and simplification, of domed cities and dream machines.
Ted Bosworth was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1970 and now lives in Newark, Delaware. He completed hi s first novel, "Understanding is a Dream", during a break between graduating from Golden High School in Golden, Colorado in 1988 and starting college at Penn State University in Abington, Pennsylvania in 1989. After 23 years of work as a Data/Business Analyst in the public and private sectors, he is currently taking advantage of a career break to travel and indulge his creativity cravings (film screenings, live music, and novels). And during this break he dedicated time to rescue the previously unpublished manuscript he wrote in 1988 from the obsolete word processing files they were written in and converted them into a format that allowed for its recent publication. A 30th anniversary, first edition.
The author invites you to experience this living psychological time capsule and see the world as he saw it then, and the possible future to come. Publishing this novel is an attempt to keep these characters alive and to share them with others who will hopefully b e able to connect with them in their own way.
